good tip the air mode and punch the throttle. I thought I heard it all and here comes new good advice nicely done. I almost lost my drone to a big field, i panicked (first mistake) i lost 3kg weight looking for my drone, finally found it with a metal-detector, the lesson was don't learn line of sight flying on a field when it's windy. But you summed it up good with "don't panic".

Great suggestions here. One thing that is not often talked about is the conformal coating making soldering a PITA, but I can offer my experience in hopes of saving some soldering iron tips and hair pulling. I keep a spray bottle with 99% Isopropyl alcohol and a few soft bristle toothbrushes for removing conformal coating (and general cleaning of the boards before any sort of soldering). It makes all the difference when working with a clean board and 99% IPA seems to be the easiset to buy/use for me. Best of luck friend and welcome to the hobby. Great video! I made a lot of these mistakes myself. On the simulator part, You can absolutely go outside and have fun in angle mode or horizon. It helped me stay motivated because flying in the real world is what makes this so much fun . Before doing flips and rolls in acro however you should really get practice on the sim so you don't full throttle into concrete when inverted. (I managed to break the FC of my Mob8 that way)

I just came back from flying my Apex 5 custom built with Walksnail avatar hd, the total weight is around 650g, with a 6S battery. I must say, while simulators are important for learning the controller, they don't help much with real drones, especially when you're above 500g, as momentum is higher and you will experience drifts etc. I like your excellent tips!

@@kavorka8855 I disagree, simulators give you a basis. I agree in the sense that weight, drift and also wind conditions can all vary AND quite considerably.
