In louisiana we call those dandy cleanouts without a sweep, a test tee. We use those to test new add ons to sewer lines.

7In steel cutter on a 4 inch grinder...BEST way to cut out cast! :)...Don't know if you seen them yet but the Diablo 6 in. Carbide Recip Blades for Thick Metal Cutting, Are KILLER...For that finish cut; they're perfect...Like BUTTAH!

That wall falling...I thought you were about to be injured, Steve! But you just laughed! Maybe you noticed the cut 2x4`s at the floor and half-way expected it? Why would they do that, anyway? Were the studs rotted at the floor from the leaky pipe, and maybe your work was preparatory to the carpenters finishing their work? When you inspect that caved-in basement..."don`t go into the hole" on the deal! LOL!
