That's a bluing technique I don't think I've ever seen before. Nice job; it's a lovely tool.

Ótimo trabalho. Filmagem muito rica em detalhes. Processo longo e trabalhoso do tratamento do metal. Achei bom que preservou o cabo pois ele é o original com suas marcas do tempo. Parabéns.

Did you use a phone charger for electrolysis? I've never seen that before, can you please tell me more about it. Is it just an offthshelf charge, what voltage and amp.
@Mlenski_restorations4 ай бұрын
You do not need accurate amp level for rust removing. Cell phone charger is good for this work because its level of amps is between 1 to 2 A. Does not matter level in this case. But If you would like to make a metal plating (for example nickel plating) you will need correct amp level. And in this case the phone charger is not good. In this case you will need reguratable power supply I have used in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5KslYt-ZbtpiMksi=yiVTihj0YPdpUup1 because 1 A is too much for this work.

Thanks I didn't knew that, almost every time I saw someone on yt rust removing by electrolysis they had a power supply. When doing electrolysis this way does the surface of the metal or the quantity of liquid matter? Can you use a phone charger for all your rust removing needs?
@Mlenski_restorations4 ай бұрын
@@Enigmaking I do not want answer wrong. But in my opinion the more metal for anode you use the better and mainly quicker process could be. I use adequate amount of liquid. Not more than necessary and till this time it has always worked :) Thank you for comments and good luck in your project. I hope my answers were useful.

Thank you, your answers are extremely helpful.I have an old rusted axe head that I'm going to restore and I think I will use electrolysis for the first time. Where are you from Mlenski?

What’s rotten about it . Put a new handle on it and be done.

My philosophy is to restore as much as possible. Including the rotten handle. Thank you for your comment 👍

Did you erase the marking on the hammer?? , not the 500
@Mlenski_restorations6 ай бұрын
Yes, during grinding original marks has disappeared. The hammer is little bit lighter now, but about few grams only.

I have two reasons for derusting. I want to see all damages clearly and I don't want to mess my files with rust. I always want to keep as much as possible from original tool. Handle is fine now. It fits perfect. 😉

Muita frescura, era só dar uma arrumada no cabo e pronto. Primeiro já tava limpinho, aí pôs numa solução e enferrujou de volta. Martelo é martelo não é jóia.

You just ruined a Vintage patinated hammer. If you want something to look like a new onre, then just buy a foreign import.

With respect to you and your work, your restorations are reasonable and the results speak for themselves, however the length of your videos is unreasonable in my opinion. A few seconds shy of 25 minutes for a hammer clean up? Most other channels do the video in 8-9 minutes.

Hello, friend. Thank you very much for your useful comment.👍 I really appreciate it. Actually you are not first person who told me. Which means the lengh of some of my videos is serious problem. I just want to show as much steps of process as possible.🙂

Un esfuerzo de restauracion innecesario y por cierto las zonas bruñidas innecesariamente pueden provocar que el martillo resbale al golpear la puntilla y te jodas un dedo
