@@Doomer253 in previous interviews, as a child like her self would usually do, during interviews she would stutter a lot, ramble on and on and use a lot of um’s and likes to try and get her point across. Many admirers would sometimes get lost in her answer because it was just a bit hard for her to get it all out effectively. There could’ve been various things that led to this and honestly her being that way was understandable as she was a child and this was her first big project with so many interviews. There’s been clear growth in both her and her ability to carry out interviews from people that have watched her closely until now, she seems so much more comfortable and confident.

I am SO happy this is the cast. It was such good casting, they are so talented especially at their young age. They are a special bunch. A lot of adaptations, the actors in my opinion are not PROS, they feel like hallmark versions of the characters. These kids are legit! :) I am excited we get to watch them flourish and grows as actors through this story. Percy Jackson never got done right, and I feel they will get that. Season 1 was not perfect, it had some issues in my opinion, but they are clearly working hard to give out something good. It's a lot of pressure all around. It worries me given it is Disney, but I am happy Riordan is there, I am happy these are the actors, and the writing is pretty good, it can definitely be better. I also hope they stop using those visual effects backgrounds, whatever they're called. They are cool, but I honestly do not think you can get the same impact as you can with a real stage, real places, especially for the actors they should have more to work with.

I think it's called Stagecraft or The Volume. It's like a curved wall of high definition LED where it would display computer-generated imaginary backdrops instead of the traditional green screen. The Mandalorian tv show also uses the Volume to film the scene. Yeah. the show is good but not great. The main setback i think is the budget as they are trying to conserve money on a lot of scenes like Riptide comes out off screen and when Percy uses his power it cuts to black. That cut to black after a scene was one I disliked the most. It makes the show scene sequence a bit weird like they don't know what to do to make the flow between the scenes better. It's one of the glaring weaknesses of the show. They also skip a lot the time Percy had at CHB. I think S1 was the best place for the immersion of the story telling about the layout of CHB like give it a bit of groundwork for future seasons to establish upon. The lava wall, canoe lake, amphitheater etc. All in all, like i said before the show was good but it could be better. Hopefully S2 could be much better than S1 and not continue S1 weaknesses.

@@deanxiii1595 I agree with this so much. also I feel the Stagecraft was impressive, but there was this dream like quality I felt at times, I also felt the actors just did not give their all because there was nothing much to act with. I wish they had the budget a series like HP was given, from the start. I wish Disney understood how big this series is and how huge it will be if they give them that budget. I really hope season 2 feels bigger and better, the way they are saying it will be

I think Walker's acting was a bit constrained in the show like the producers inhibit his acting to a certain degree as i thought his acting in his previous two film seemed a lot better that truly portrays a Percy Jackson personality. I think Disney is still on the fence about the success of the show to give it a bigger budget as it already had a failure in its movie counterpart. The 1st season may be a trying phase to see whether the show would succeed and only then they would give a bigger investment for future seasons.

As a massive Percy Jackson fan, I can relate, I’ve never seen the movies and kinda forgot there was even a show. I’m a part of a lot of dead fandoms so it kinda weird to see one getting a bunch of attention. The thought of a live action “Danny phantom” would be pretty weird. Or a sequel to “rise of the guardians”. Or the remake of “trigun” (which actually did happen and it was so much better then the original, but it caught me completely off guard)

Their chemistry so makes this show. Disney have mis-timed filming IMO. With such rapidly growing characters they needed to do Season 2 and 3 in quick succession. Walker is already a mature 15 year old and by the time they film Season 3, he’ll be an adult looking near 17 year old and likely too old for the Percy character. Always a risk casting a 12 year old as you don’t know how quick they’ll grow.
