What a performance for just being in a studio. Also, the guy who mixed this is a complete master at his craft. Rotting Christ I will always have huge respect for. Saw them about a decade ago in a small bar in California. They played for 15 people like they were headlining Wacken. Unforgettable show.

Sakis talking spanish fluently is a very nice surprise, deep respect for Rotting Christ that have aged like a fine wine, definitely the Greek black metal scene is very unique with a very dark and characteristic sound, which they helped pioneered along with varathron, necromantia, I hope they keep making music for many years to come. It's because sakis managed to make it that the rest of us knew that it was actually possible, even in this country(bands weren't playing concerts in greece back then, it was quite rare) and that's why there is a metal scene NOW.

THANK YOU ROTTING CHRIST! Thank you Sakis and thank you Themis for (re-)creating the greatest dark melodies music has ever offered. Yes, I'm going that far. I have to admit that the last decade has not been too great in terms of new output (I think Sakis has definitely been riding on the same "Aealo" formulae for too long) but THIS is rekindling the spirits deep within my rotten heart (I know I'm late, just discovered this!) Sakis, I'll always respect you for your body of work, your personality and the great influence you've had on my life as a listener and musician! When I listen to pinch harmonics, so do my neighbors. Long life Rotting Christ! Saw them in Tons of Rock Norway, awesome energy! Listened a lot to them after buying Dead Poem when it came out. Magic album...then I had to buy all their back catalog. Not a bad song in there , and many splendid ones!
