Looks like a great place to stay and explore. Like Kangaroo Island here in SA the expense of the ferry is way to much for me to go over with car and van

Got to see KI from the mainland through the mist when we stayed in SA. Never made it across sadly.

Well I beat you. Last time I went to rotto was 1980. I wouldnt mind going back again one day. The reason the bus stops at 7pm is because the drivers need to get the last boat back to the mainland. Was good to see how the place has changed.

Can't remember when I was last there, but I remember I rode a bike. Wouldn't happen these days I'd suggest. Has changed a lot from what I remember.

Back in the day there was only walking or riding bikes, at least they have a bus service around the island now for us poor old buggers :)

Haven't been to Rotto for many years.. I guess I will now wait until this whole covid thing is over, and every one heads to Bali, and its not so busy..

I was surprised that it wasn't even more crowded. Lots of room on the ferry and on the buses but the accommodation where we stayed looked pretty much all booked out.

LOL not been there myself since 1974. Yes, apathy has been a part of it. So 53 bucks for me. Not bad

Wow, '74, even further back than my last visit.
