I love both breeds but people are sleep when it comes to an Akita. I've seen one fight a very vicious pitbull some years ago. I knew the Akita would be slaughtered but it almost killed the pitbull in 30 seconds. The akita is a very strong, solid breed.

Who ever saying the rottie is scared or chicken dosnt have no clue about dog body langauge . People think coz the akita mix is going mad showing his teeth he's on it. In real the rottie is not threatened by the akita that's why he's not Going mad. The rottie is confident and feels no threat coz hes with his owner behide him and his owners relaxed so is the rotti. The akita is not scared ethir but he feels to protect his land and also he feels abit uneasy because he has no back up... when the dog is barking showing teeth he's putting up a act to act big and scare the other dog of but If there was no cage there the akita mix won't be going mad like that and you will see the rotti act different . Rotti is brave clever and knows there's a cage there so no point going mad. When the rotti went into the akita face the akita went quite . The rottie showed his dominance and then carried on moving. .. I have 2 akitas and one rotti both top breeds. The akitas are more strong and better fighters the rotti are much intelligent tho.

that akita/shepherd mix is exactly what it is people...I don't think people understand that a mixed dog doesn't have the best attributes of the dogs it's mixed with but actually a little watered down but healthier....that means mixed dogs reflexes arent all that great....not that they are horrible but pure bred of something will always have better reflexes....but like I said healthier for the most part too.

Even a single Kangal can't fight to death only in a pack .But a Rottie, Rodeshian ridge back, APBT ,Cane Corso, Those are the few I have seen them single fight to death even presa canario....but all in all I love all dogs
