As someone who trains dogs, its extremely easy to teach a dog to ignore all distractions until it becomes a physical issue. Ex: the lab couldve stayed calm and minded his own without even looking at the other dog until the moment the rottie was completely off leash and physically attacking the people or the dog. Then it would be a no brainer for the dog to step in, even without prior training in personal protection. Its all a matter of training and caring for your animals and while the rottie owner hideously failed, the lab owner could've stepped up a little. I understand socializing fully grown rescues is also important and could have been the case here, but doing so requires someone with actual training capabilities and equipment (muzzle, harness with pull handle, extra leashes attached, prong collar, etc) to safely train an already grown animal.

It felt amazing when it turned out to be a male rottweiler instead, not female rottweiler. Just felt good that they had all been proven wrong... You clearly aren’t educated in dog body language and behavior. The rott showed more composure than the lab. The rott tried to lunge forward but notice how when the rott did so his tail was wagging and he didn’t snarl or bare his teeth which most likely shows that he just got excited and wanted to socialize with the lab. When the lab lunged he automatically bared his teeth and was snarling the whole time. Typical ignorant idiot to assume the rott was the one being aggressive just because it’s a Rottweiler. Educate yourself first on dog K9 behavior before you go on blabbing about it.

@@frankdelprado2756 hey, typically I don’t abuse people on social media. Read my previous comment again and again and again before wasting time on replying. Before teaching someone a dogs body language and behaviour, try to know the knowledge level of that person. I have raised 3 Rottweilers so far, one in the process and I never hired dog behaviourist to train them, I do it myself. I don’t want to debate with your bird brain but come to my place someday, will show you how does a trained and socialised Rottweiler looks like. You will be able to see a rott can be a best friend to any strangers but can eat your neck raw in my one command. And that’s what I wrote in my previous comment, whatever it is, the rott in the video can’t be called a “trained & socialised “ one.

@@deb9579 buddy idc about how many rotts you’ve raised. I’ve raised dozens cause I’m a German line rott breeder myself with my father. it’s clear to see that the rott “most likely” wanted to socialize and the lab instantly just got aggressive. And I have a bird brain lol.

@@deb9579 yo this dumbass was bragging on another video about how he lets loose his 98% 150lb grey wolf at dog parks. It’s intact, domaint, aggressive to other intact males and has already injured another dog. Calling him bird brain is a compliment at this point

The Rotties tail was up, it was being playful. He shortened the leash because he likely didn't trust the other dog, which he was right to not trust seeing as it went into defense mode instantly. Everyone always thinks Rotties are aggressive but I've had a few, they're obedient. They're just social.
