Dale Cunningham is a breeder and lover of German Rottwielers. A life long lover of dogs and a Police canine officer, Dale's relationship with Rotties began over 20 years ago. Of all his dogs Dale has a sweet spot in his heart for Nadine, a beautiful Rottwieler, that was a star on the training field as well as on the silver screen. Nadine's biggest screen credit was her scene in the first Transformers.
Today Dale has two of Nadine's off spring, Maximus and Diesel. Both dogs are amazing animals. They both have spend time on the training field as well as at home protecting the family.

Ajit Roy nah, he’s super friendly. By badly behaved, I mean he has a mind of his own. We got him at 1 year old and I don’t think he had much training and isn’t very obedient when out for walks

That's a huge tail to deal with. All of ours have been docked. Although I do see an increase of tails, if you're are interested in showing your pup, according to the AKC, pups gotta be docked.

Seems like I struck an emotional nerve huh, is there something you are ashamed about and getting defensive over? Doing research is what I do, and believe me I have done a lot. Docking to prevent injury/infection (still meh) for a working rottie is one thing, and today you and I both know most 'working' animals are going to pet homes. Surprise, I'm familiar with the breed. "Last but not least" I will not keep my opinion to myself when it comes to the well being of these animals :) I suggest *you* conduct some research Mr. Ramirez.

I've had rottweilers since 1986 and bred them. My present rottie is 12+years old and was born here. They are absolutely the dog of my life. Intelligent, loyal, fun loving, protective, obedient, easy to train. The perfect dog for me. I also have a GSD...unfortunately no comparison! I love him too but he doesn't hold a candle to a rottie. I did French ring sport with my rotts...my first we got up to Ring 2, the following ones Ring 1 (then I got too old!) Great in sport! PS I live in France

@gal Greenberg how exactly would you compare gsd with Rottweiler, considering both working line. I have a 3.5yrs gsd male who is cross between showline female and working line male and now I'm deciding whether to go for adrk bloodlines Rottweiler female or knpv dutch female, but I want female as my gsd is very dominant dog and doesn't get along with male dogs. Purpose is strictly for personal protection.

I knew that Rottweiler was from the old Jenneck's line; he is a mirror image of my old Rottweiler that past away last year (10 1/2 years old). I wish I could send you a pic. My Rottweilers Grand-Sire or Granfather is out of Jenneck's Wotan... A lot of Jenneck's in his pedigree - drive was extremely intense for a Rottweiler - definitely not for a "pet home."

I've been with dogs all my life. Different breeds, different sizes. Mutts are my preference. Rotwilders are the type I would like, but my younger brothers wife & family are allergic to dogs. After researching I found that the Rottles, cross or Rotwilders & Poodles are great seeing as the Poodles hair is not as much K9.

I admire these dogs but I'm afraid of them as well. I'm afraid I can't handle them properly. The reason I admire them is a real incident. A Burgler couple broke in, at a friends home. The female rottie my friend had did her dutie. She got them. They battled and injured the dog but got really injured themselves as the blood in the walls showed. They survived and escaped before the police arrived. At the same time the dog was so so calm at its walks. She really got along well with children.

There good dogs but you have to Do proper socialization and Training. Every fail you make the dog will punish you. You have to be a strong person mental. The breeder of my dog says its a majestic task to raise a rotti. I have to say its true:)

I absolutely love this video. I have a Cane Corso and a Rottweiler. Both are amazing dogs. My Rottweiler is also a wonderful livestock dog. She not only protects but can herd on a cattle drive just as good as high bred ranch dogs. Both my Corso and Rottweiler are protective not agressive. They are trained and know the difference between normal and dangerous situations.

Your dogs are beautiful. I’ve had the pleasure of owning 8 of them during the last few decades. No better dog for trustworthiness, territoriality, intelligence and affection. But as you know, unfortunately they don’t live as long as other dogs. The stars that shine the brightest, often burn out the fastest. Thank you for your video. It really honors the breed.

I have the same Rottweiler shirt! I’ve been wanting a German Rottweiler for a while now however my mom said that her friends friend was hiking and found a female German Shepherd while hiking in the mountains she had puppy’s and would’ve died if she would’ve had to stay three more nights. The puppy’s are a German Shepherd Rottweiler mix but not trying to sound like a jerk but I want a pure bred. I know more about pure bred Rottweiler then mix. So I’m not really a fan of the German Shepherd mix. There were only three that really look like a Rottweiler 2 females and 1 male. I want a male for many different reasons. So all the puppy’s are adopted accept for him who is on hold for us. Not sure though. I think his story and how he survived is amazing but I have a really fixed mindset on a pure bred. I think I’ll feel bad if I don’t get him but I’m not sure how I’ll feel a few years later if I do or do not get him. Plus I want to make sure I can give him all my love and not always be wishing I got a pure bred. Feel like I’m over thinking this... I don’t know am I? Should I get him? What do y’all think?

Remember once he is yours he is yours. A dog is for LIFE. Decisions like this shouldn’t be taken lightly. You got to train him, socialise him, discipline him and give him affection from day one and every day of his life. Big responsibility if you ain’t willing to do this for everyday of the dogs life that could be 7, 9 or 13 years then don’t waste the dogs time and yours.

My Rottweiler, Otto (from working lines) was just like Maximus. Very intense. Very serious. Didn't play with people. Was aloof to anyone outside of the family/very close friends. Would not hesitate to lay down his life. Most amazing dog❤🙏🏾

I've had Rottweilers for over 30 years. Rescued some and took two home from the shelter. They are amazing companions . Poor breeding reveals knee and ligament issues as well as cancer. Leave the tails intact. Great dog.

Fell in love with the breed 5 years ago. I use to raise and breed Doberman Pinschers. My wife wanted a boxer and i wanted a Doberman. So we ended up with a Male Rottweiler. Best thing to happen to us. Love the breed. We are currently building our breeding program. I love this guys enthusiasm and loyalty to the breed. We need more like him in the breeding world

Rottweilers are amazing dogs, but sadly lifespan studies found they only live 8-9 years on average. Work must be done to help them live longer and healthier.
