The reason there are so few Filipinos there is because it is way too expensive. You said yourself it was the most expensive flight in the Philippines. And you have to spend lots of money on boats to really see everything. The El Nido Beach and water is not very nice, so Filipinos prefer Boracay. Much prettier Beach and water and cheaper flight, and once you are in Boracay you don't have to hire boats to see the prettiest water. Instead you just walk down the beach.

I love seeing ElNido again! I only made 4 trips in 18 months there before Covid hit and have been wanting to make my way back. I have had a few meals at that exact table😂. There are some other restaurants I would have pointed you to, but I also enjoy seeing you exploring.. The city was always under construction every time I went, just seems like a normal state there.. That Main Street when I was there would be shoulder to shoulder and Sava bar would be packed at night.. In 2019 it seemed to me that 10 to 1 of the tourist were all foreigners... Some locals I did boats tour with from Manila said it was too expensive ....

Tim if you guys have the chance try out Port Barton and San Vicente on the West side of Northern Palawan.. spectacular 11-km white sand beach and sunsets to die for. Boat tours are way more affordable, and so is everything else too, than El Nido. They have an airport in San Vicente:)

El Nido has definetly grown . 22:56 keep going straight up this road about 5 minutes walking was my hotel . $6 per night , just big enough for a single mattress but I had my own toilet ... wonder how much they charge for it now , probably not six dollars

It is not meant to be a "cheap shot". It is my opinion and I stand by it. It is not the first time that I have noticed a sort of aloofness on Tim's part when dealing with his son Dale, ie. during the boat trip it was the tour guide who was looking after Dale.

I was in El Nido exactly a year ago with my wife. Seems the level of construction is still the same. That wrecked boat is still on the beach I see. Surprised about how much has changed since when I was first there in 2014.

Another hot sunny day out there and I am looking forward to it. I don't trust those small-time ATMs in touristy places because the wrong kind of people normally wait a few weeks or a month for tourists to leave before strange going-ons start happening with your account.
