This was 2 years ago.. Lol my truck's changed a lot since then and been through two sets of wheels and tires. And actually these look much better than the Chevys and Ford 1/2 tons!

Im excided! I just bought the 5in and ive got 37s on the truck now. My truck is going to be huge lol
@TheGscott8 жыл бұрын
@chanceketchum these were the stock tires which were like 275x75r16 something like that. I have more updated videos with the new wheels and tires on it. Go look at those videos with the 35x12.50r17s on the truck. It is a good kit and reasonably priced.

What size tires were on at the time of the video? Not criticizing just curious. I have a 99 dodge ram 1500 V8 and i am looking at buying this kit
@TheGscott10 жыл бұрын
@alexdavis they aren't double stacked blocks. Those are the stock ram blocks with the roughcountry lift blocks. If you knew anything about lifts you would know that. And everyone else this is an old video I have 35x12.50s on it now.

Would yall think its funny if i said i like the stock wheels with the 5 inch lift
@TheGscott Жыл бұрын
What I did shortly after this was acquire some 20” stock wheels from an 08 ram 1500 and ram those for awhile. It looked decent until I could acquire some mud terrains and black off-road wheels. @fullmetalcar

The two blocks 😩😩😲😲
@TheGscott3 жыл бұрын
The original blocks are stock on the truck. This is how the lift is designed. I had no issues. Worked flawlessly. Tell the engineers that designed it that they are wrong lol

@@TheGscott hey don't get mad, I did that once but just one inche block,and yes it looks dangerous and yes designers suck

I was told to use front coil springs from a V-10 in my 99 ram with 5.2. it would raise it 2-3 inches. along with the 3 inch spacer 5 inch blocks in the rear ( 2500 Ram stock 4.75 block) input please.

Put a steering gear box stabilizer on it. It's worth the time. It's cheap.

Dear lord rough country is selling a death trap of a kit. Never stack blocks. I wish they would stop selling this kit.
@TheGscott8 жыл бұрын
Cody Capps seemed safe enough to me!
@therealCodyCapps8 жыл бұрын
it seems safe at first bud but overtime the abuse can move that bottom block out and can cause major issues even death! me personally if I had the block kit I would have the blocks welded together. and then thread lock the u bolts. but if it's a pavement princess you could get away with it. but don't trust it.
@mattparks117 жыл бұрын
Stacking blocks isn’t safe at all bro you might wanna look into taking one out and leaving the other
@TheGscott7 жыл бұрын
Matt Parks this is actually how it was designed. I'm not "stacking" blocks. One is the stock one that comes on a stock truck. The other is the designed block that is stacked with new u bolts and hardware intentionally designed to withstand the impact. I hauled horses and did tons of off-roading with this truck, and I never had any issues. Thanks for the thought.
