Rough Country Lifted Ford Maverick In the Shop!

Anyone remember the "Old Days" when small useful trucks were a thing? When you could buy a simple truck with a bed on the back for a decent price to use for truck stuff? Remember the Chevy S10? The Ford Ranger? Great trucks! The Ford Maverick is the spiritual successor to those vehicles, and this one's also see some loving beyond stock!
Welcome to the all new Ford Maverick Pickup truck, now modified with an all new Rough Country lift kit! Very cool machine with all kinds of potential not just as a nice tool around town truck but also able to do plenty of light truck duty as well as off road usage!

You can haul 4x8 plywood. It goes on top of the wheel wells.

I remember looking at them online a couple years ago and was thinking about buying an AWD hybrid but absolutely nothing impressed me. The price was too much, the MPG’s were less than impressive and it seemed very cheaply made, that and they were nearly unobtainable. A couple people I know that did buy them had transmission issues and at the time no parts were available. Meanwhile my 2005 Astro AWD just lumbers along, no parts shortages either….🫠

@@RustyZipper You can buy enough parts to rebuild that Astro 2 times for what a new one costs, Keep driving it and fix stuff as it breaks!

@@davidgough1161 - I actually just took delivery of a new Sienna Hybrid AWD. The Astro is very rusted out being here in Upstate NY and only getting 10-12 mpg in the winter / around town. That being said I’m still driving it, just made 2 trips to the lumber store, it’s a workhorse! 💪 It will be for sale once they stop salting the roads and I fix it up a bit.

That’s not a Maverick. The maverick was a compact sport sedan made from 1970-1980.. this is a Mazda piece of crap with a ford badge.. bring back the amc content fellas

Can't argue with you on the name thing that's for sure! Would have preferred a different name as well. Don't get us started on the "New Eclipse"! Lots more AMC stuff coming just got to keep paying the bills around here so we can keep playing with our toys ;)
