He seems like a cool ass down to earth dude who respects everyone. Like helping the security guard move the barricade back and saying sorry to a driver when he went into the road. People like him give skaters a good name.

@@HarpreetSingh-ol4sq is that really a question ? 🧐🥴 For one…. The “lazy man effortless” style which couldn’t be any smoother, His trick selection, his consistency, but most importantly he killsss ledges, rails, stairs/gaps, manny’s, and transition! What sets him apart is I seen a clip of him once nollie back heel flipping into like a 7 ft quarter pipe basically as an alternative to drop in 💀

A long time ago I fell down really hard and had a rough cut on my knee. Luckily my best friend Nyjah was there. He picked me up and carried me home. I was really exhausted from skating and my rough cut was hurting a lot so nyjah took the opportunity to help his best friend out. He said, "You, my best friend, you have a very good tre flip and I'm going to help you shower. I won't take no for an answer." My entire life I'd been waiting to hear that. Obviously the only way to get me properly cleaned was if he got in as well. So he did and we had the best bro shower of all time. I sat on my shower chair as this gold medalist scrubbed me down. He was very careful around my booboo on my knee. He's a good pal.

I don't know how many of youze can say that you are 50 years old, have been a skater since 1983, spent five years as a writer for one of the biggest skateboard magazines ever published (including dozens of video reviews), and has a tattoo of a Jeff Grosso (Santa Cruz) graphic on his back since 1989... but I can say it. And I say it not to dap myself up, but to present to you an abridged resume from an over 38 year love affair with skateboarding and skateboarders who have always and continue to inspire me in whatever I do in life. I was there for Natas, Hosoi, Hill, Hensley, Gonz, Cardiel, Markovich, Duffy, Sheffey, Koston and all the greats. I am still here for Mason, Evan, Villani, Gillette, Yuto, Foy, Midler, and others. But mostly, I am here for this guy. For what its worth to have been around for so long, and to have seen so many and much, I am also here to tell you this: Ishod is the most gifted, talented and stylish skateboarder to ever have been in this life. His skating is no less iconic than it was to hear those first bars of 'Riders on the Storm' as Duffy rolled in the rain toward that back lipslide. He is no less inspirational than Gonz in Daze and every bit as stylish Gino just pushing. In a lifetime as a skateboarder I have seen none greater. I fucking love this guy.

@George-um2vc2 жыл бұрын
You might notice most of his attempts were very vertical and less stylish and he did not settle till he got a more horizontal one, really impressive since most sw hardflips are usually just pressures and the skater often doesn't even flick the board at all with their front foot. Some people who do them properly are Prod, Deigo Najera, Mark Suciu, Kellen Dadd, Wade Desarmo, Tiago Lemos, Chris Joslin, Sewa, Luan, the list goes on.
