in the movie, the bike is big, that why they have problems recreating its real size. the rear tire looks like a 40inch one, they don't make that.

Its is possible but we need Arnold schwarzenegger to drive it .

120,000$ for a bike that drives 10mph xD... That said, engineers like this pave the future, this is one guys work, and he managed to pull off a near perfect copy. Such incredible craftsman for one man to shoulder. Though it's impractical to ride a bike that by design has you leaning onto the seat, since you have to steer with your upper body by leaning, I wish I could ride something this badass. Hope manufacturers draw inspiration from fiction, sci-fi, and fantasy.

Nowadays they can easily make it with an electric motor

The issue isn't the engine, it's the proportions and design.

Kaneda's bike was inspired by Tron's light cycle. My life will never be the same.

the fact this bike isn't a thing for people to buy is a sin for humanity

It’s just not practical design wise.

What is the issue that it's only drivable at 10mph ? Steering issue ?
@CHURCHISAWESUM3 жыл бұрын
That's probably the main reason but not the only one. The wheels are massive which makes them extremely difficult to turn.

The Honda Vultus is the closest thing to a real Akira bike.

I think the single fork from the Yamaha GTSS 1000 is a good start added to that.

Theyd have to figure out a way to get it to turn without leaning for it to be drivable.

So where'd the jacket come from? I'd kill to get something like that to ride in
