That life has great lines! The handle reminds me of my MKM macro, but the RR as a much sleeker blade shape and it’s shiny. Of course the MKM is made of M390 and it did cost 10 times the price of this. But both would fulfil the current trend for EDC fixed blades.

Man, that thing is nice. I’ve got probably around 100 rough riders, but not one of their fixed blades. I’m a big fan of the spade Appaloosa series with their folders, so I would def love to get this one. Looks like it would be a nice little carry too. Thanks for sharing Tobias.

Very much small enough to just drop in a pocket. Might be a little bulky with the belt loop. But if you can legally belt carry it would pretty much be nothing on the belt. I really like it. If you like the Spade series, this might be the fixed blade you're looking for.

i like the drop point and feel that it is more amenable to edc tasks. I also love that it is full tang with simple construction. also, when the handle is really small, i attach a fat lanyard that fills in the grip

Nice coincidence as mine arrived last week. I actually bought it to fill a slot in my black appaloosa series thinking I would dislike it. I was very surprised at how well it fits my hand. Other than the double nail pulls I am yet to be disappointed with this series. Take care Tobias and you have a blessed Christmas season 🙏

What do think about shields on fixed blades, I think this one looks nice on this knife.👍

Hi Tobias: It’s really nice small fixed blade. Very sleek. Love the finger choil. As a lefty myself, it would have been wonderful to see the spade on both sides in this series as I’m sure you’d agree. Still, us southpaws have had to get used to seeing the pile side out. Not much lefty love from knife manufacturers. 😂😢😂
@KnifeChatswithTobias2 сағат бұрын
The fact that it goes in the sheath with the pile side out just fine is nice, even if it is unintentional. I always like it when a knife can goin a sheath either way. Rough Ryder has made a few knives with left handed sheaths. I should do a video on them.

Glad they are going back to spelling Rider the way it should be. I guess Ryder might become collector's item now. LOL. I could see this knife being a boot knife.

It’s a very good looking knife, and the price can’t be beat. I’m assuming it’s the standard RR 440 steel?
@rockets4kidsКүн бұрын
I see a lot of people trashing the steel because it is 440A. That's not the problem. 440A can make for a fantastic knife. The problem with the Rough Ryder knives is the grain structure -- it ranges from mediocre to terrible. It's a shame RR/SMKW chose to cheap out here.

Pretty knife. I'm sure it will open lots of mail. As a field knife it is lacking in belly.
@KnifeChatswithTobiasКүн бұрын
It has more belly than most of the traditional B&T and/or Caping knives I've come across.
