Rough River Kentucky Fly-In Ya'll

It's time for the yearly Kentucky fly-in with a group of degenerates...I mean friends. Last year it was canceled due to COVID but we all managed to get back to Rough River for a fly-in/shenanigans. We come from Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, New York, Georgia, Texas and several others I missed. I depart Chicago Aurora (ARR) airport on a VFR flight down to Falls of Rough, Kentucky. In the next video we fly to dinner as a group and then go back for normal shenanigans...at least what I can show. :)

With 2 full time jobs, a house full of kids, even with 2 leaving home, buying a new and selling your old homes, no need to apologize for anything Kevin!!! Thanks for mentioning our surrounding Kentucky State Park resorts and associated airports. A pilot can shoot touch and go cross-countries between them and town airports surrounding the Twin Lakes (Kentucky Lake and parallel Lake Barkley both separated by the 80 mile long LBL Federal Reserve, all with good runways .) out of M34 to KCRX, or KMSL, or KJWN making the round trip back in and out of airports on the opposite side of the lakes making a whole day of flying. Don’t miss the lake view, redwood lodge for dining, possibly overnighting at M19, Lake Barkley State Park just up the lake from here.

We know some folks that lived on Kuttawa lake and used to own the marina there. Kuttawa is a very small town real close to Kentucky dam. I love that area and all the people there. Congrats on the new house and to the kids graduating.
