First review on this one that I’ve seen! I’m not a damascus fan, but might be able to grip that one better than the Appaloosa, which is pretty slick. Thanks for the video!

I like how this one feels in hand. It does have a lot of texturing, plus its a little thicker. Thanks for checking the video out!!

I hadn't seen these yet. Looks like a really nice knife. I have a few from the cheaper cinnamon bone stag series and would love to get 1 or 2 of these, but I am done for a while before I buy anything else.

This one is pretty nice. I'll probably get 2 or 3 other ones when they get released. I'm done buying for awhile also. I'll get the Black Appaloosa as they come out. I'm committed to get that entire series. 😆

Cool video man. So my only complaint with rough Ryders easy open knives like the Appaloosa and this Damascus one, is the fact that it only has one blade. I would’ve loved to have seen a pen blade on this, or even a little coping blade like they did on the Appaloosa coke bottle. Rough Ryder usually take their patterns from old patterns from Case, camillus , and I know camillus and imperial both had easy open jacks with a pen blade as the secondary. This would’ve been nice in their carbon steel line with the cinnamon bone stag handles. But for my money, Rough Ryders are such a great value for money, compared to other slipjoints. Yes you might get a dud every so often, but SMKW stands behind their products, and will replace it or refund it without much effort. I might have to get this one, just based on the nice fit and finish. Thanks for sharing

Rough Ryders are usually a good value. It's a great inexpensive way to check out different patterns and materials. Like you said every once in a while you'll get a bad one and I also but most RR from SMKW for their return policy. These easy open knives are nice I don't mind the single blade on them. I have a Classic Cinnamon Stag Bone Bow Trapper and I really like that one. Thanks for checking the video out!!

@@factorsofjack ah yes, I’m familiar with seeing that single blade bow trapper in cinnamon stag bone. Coincidentally, I own another bow trapper by RR, the 2 bladed version, and while I feel the pull was too light for my tastes, it wasn’t comfortable in my hand with the big clip blade closed, using the Spey. But not having the Spey blade on the one you’re referring too, wouldn’t have that issue obviously. I recently got the single blade Barlow in cinnamon stag, and I think it might be one of the nicest Rough Ryders I own out of nearly 80-100. That’s saying something I think. So I think I am gonna pull the trigger on the the single blade easy open and bow trapper, if they’re as good as the other ones, that would be great. I’m new to collecting, started in 2021, so it’s fun for me to still be at that learning stage about all the diffferent brands and pattern. I was a modern folder guy for about 3 months, with my benchmade bugout, until I remembered these slipjoints from my childhood, placed an order on SMKW, been addicted since. Keep up the good work, love watching the RR vids.

I think we all say we are not getting the whole series, but then , guesss what happens 😂?

If they are going to average 35 bucks each, I'll only get the patterns I really like.
