@@HamSlicer You NEVER use throttle in a scenario like this unless its to do exactly what he did and keep the boat centered. This isn't a Florida inlet where you can just ride the back of a wave in, this is a harbor entrance with a very narrow opening and 20+ foot breaking waves, with a cliff on one side and a rock jetty on the other. He did everything perfectly, I couldn't find any criticisms, he let the waves push him in, controlled his speed, and then motored in once he was out of the breakers. He also never took any more than MAYBE 15 degree rolls at any time. That's seamanship.

Reminds me of coming into Saint Paul, you had to creep in and use a big bell to get the stern around. If you missed it you went hard aground. Does anyody know hat port that is? I used to go in there on the Western Pioneer vessel "Marlin" with Jainie Flett, Jim Bower, Mark Wilson. All good White Center (West Seattle) AKA Rat Center
