Well, we expected hiccups and some bumps in the road, which is why we wanted to get these drills into the ground and find them! But that doesn't make things any easier in the heat of the moment. Welcome to farming! 🤷🏼‍♂️😆

Replaced one of those lines last year. Sits on top of a corner on the frame just inside the rear end. Of course it couldn’t have been 1/4” longer to mitigate the stress. Replacing it isn’t as bad as you think. Unless it’s around 0 with 60k wind. 😂

Mike, I have a comment, you say that it's common for Case equipment to blow orings. Andy at FFF antd Nathan at Border View Farms run all JD and are constantly replacing orings. I'm sure that you have had your share of replacing them on your own JDs too.

You should grab a couple Knipex pliers wrenches for each tractor. They are adjustable wrenches that clamp down hard and don't round anything off. Very handy to have around, especially if you don't know what size something is. There are several different sizes available.

Years ago I had a business developing maintenance tools for the mining and railway industries. The tools were based on 10,000 PSI hydraulic cylinders. A 20 cent O-ring can be a headache. I think the biggest O-ring catastrophe was the Challenger when they launched a too cold rocket and the O-rings had shrunk.

Brake cleaner is amazing stuff it will knock bees wasps and hornets right out of the air I have been told it freezes their wings and just like an airplane that has ice buildup on the wings it won’t stay in the air and the cleaner is the best thing I have found for getting hydraulic fluid off the windows when you blow a line even when it is below zero Fahrenheit and the fluid turns into a semi solid mess almost like grease when it comes out of the grease gun

Very funny! 50 cents Oring + to site transport = 50 dollars Hyd oil = 50 dollars 2 farm hands repairing + transport = 400 dollars 2 days of planting lost = more than 1000 dollars So a 400.000 dollar machine stops because a half dollar part is destroyed! Does that sound right? Is that consistent HIGH Reliability equipment?
