Thanks you! Hey, you won the necklace from a few videos ago. I made a post and replied to your comment. Email me so I can mail it unless you wanna pass it off to someone else?

@@nathanjacquart4395 Thanks you. I'll keep these going! Luckily the process is enjoyable but video editing is a skill in itself that I underestimated the time/difficulty.

@@NomadWishingStone oh I know on the video editing. I've tried to launch a couple channels and that was the hill I couldn't climb. Video editing is definitely not in my skill set.

I've been to the Polka Dot mine a number of times. I prefer the Ice Blue as well. Although it's hard to get a good blue cab as the color fades as it gets thin. Yes you made a lot of mistakes, but that's how we learn. You might consider going to the Northwest Rockhound Retreat next year. Of course you'd have to put up with me as one of the silver instructors! You did a great job overcoming all those obstacles. I'm sure the next one will be easier. Maybe I'll see you at a meeting one of these days.

@@spetkovsek57Yup, good lessons learned the hard way. I'd love to learn from you! Hopefully funds will come my way.

Haven't you thought of cutting the stone that the milky seethrough material stays on top of the stone? Like aepoxy toping. Showing the relief under with a unic relief and play of colours? If this could be called vertical cut, try horizontal. Please.
@NomadWishingStoneКүн бұрын
@@zerbs25 hmmm, I don't understand. Like pouring clear epoxy over a rough stone?
@zerbs25Күн бұрын
@NomadWishingStone No no. Every stone has hidden unic pattern hidden under this milky coating. Just pulishing the coating off you can make this pattern visible. Imagine pizza - your stone is cut so that you see the layer of dow, sauce, filling, cheese. Try to cut so that you see pizza from above. That is where magic happen.

@@zerbs25 okay, I think I understand. No milky coating on this stone chosen. Also you're restricted by where you can cut to get enough material for a cabochon. Like this cab would be way smaller looking down to the brown host being the bottom (pizza crust) with a chalcedony cap (pizza cheese/sauce). But yeah, I like cabs like that too if saw, rock size, & fractures allow.
