What you confused is "Garake-" It's an old type cell phone. Giyu's voice actor has just said he switched his cell phone from Garake- to smart phone. He said it was quite decision making in his life. Anyway, imagine Garake- like an old motorola flip cell phone. Shinobu's voice actor said she stuck her self in a swim ring when she was child. Her small body became like flip phone and the swim ring around it. Now it comes to the dangerous part, her flip phone like body was floating butt up but face and her legs in the water.

I loved their reaction to Matsuoka saying "Sorry for being so weak". For those who don't know, aparantelly the moment Inosuke talks with his damaged throat was a highlight in the recording session. They read the manga, and they knew Inosuke needed to sound diferentte. Akari Kito said they where very curious to see how Matsuoka would do it, and that it was really funny. She also said: All of us propably tried to imitate him once we got home.
