I would try a toaster oven for the pack and see if that helps at least soften up the residue. I think that would be a more even heat distribution than the hair dryer. Hopefully you can find something to remedy that issue. It would be just crushing to see such a rare card damaged out of the pack....

A little nail polish remover or acetone on a cotton ball will take that sticky substance off. Don’t use too much or rub too hard!!!
