250 C 20+. One of the best tracks I have ridden this year. I liked how they had some reall fast woods, an MX track with small doubles, one real nice big hill climb and a little enduro section thrown in there. Really was a great race. I finshed 6th in my class. 250SXF.

This was a very fun course! beleive it or not this is a really popular trail riding place normally they just run one or two hare scrambles a year on it. its VERY technical with lots of hills and rocks and single track but for the race they picked mostly the easy trails which was a bummer. it was super fast and super fun though.

I love brushy mountain. awesome place to ride. this track did not give a great layout of what MOST of the trails at brushy are though. it has some really serious technical single track that Is to die for.

@@SkinnySkinch That totally looks like a place worth traveling to! I assume there would be camping somewhere near? Maybe I'll throw it on the list of dream spots. Just got back last week from meeting Tim from forty times around for a ride in Moab Utah area and had a blast. He rides a GS 1200 so it was little less technical but we got some good video in Valley of the Gods I threw up this week . our mountains still have snow and it is killing me .......

Enjoyed this video too! That 4t sounds good too. What percent of the time would you say you are standing vs. sitting? Any particular strategies? I've got a theory on you chasing other riders. You are definitely fast when you are chasing, but my theory is that it has you looking farther down the trail which gives you more time to react to what is coming, which makes you more comfortable and faster. Just a thought. I think you've got the right idea for stamina. It's pacing yourself. Conserving energy when and where you can. Use short bursts of energy when you need it. I train in martial arts and have found this strategy to really work during our testings. My last one one was this past weekend. I've also found grapes to be a perfect pre test food. It gives you fluids and natural sugars for energy. I've been binge watching your videos, as I'm sure you've noticed. I'm taking great inspiration from them. It's got me itching to try again. Our next race is in 2 weeks. Not soon enough!!

I tend to stand a lot. as far as percent I dunno maybe 80% of my race?? I have recently been told that I shouldn't be standing as much as possible. I hear so many different things its hard to know whats right or wrong. The one thing I will say is a LOT of the faster guys that I see pass me are sitting down. my personal opinion I feel safer when I am standing when the terrain is rough. If it is butter smooth, sitting is great. The other benefit I get from standing is the rough course doesn't physically beat me up as much when I am standing bc my legs are an extension of the bike suspension. I chug water during the races and I hate the feeling of the water bouncing around in my stomach while I am sitting on the bike, and my bike has butter smooth soft suspension. Now my legs will get more tired, but I am an out of shape old man and I can stand no problems for most of the 1.5-2 hour race so a non issue really. any corner that has a nice rut or berm that you can rail absolutely sit youll be able to take the corner at a higher speed. I just dont ride motocross tracks and the singletrack woods we ride really does not have smooth corners with ruts or berms. its just not a thing out in the woods so the speeds I am going I can take most turns while standing. in my videos you can tell if I am standing or sitting by if you can see my handlebars or not. if I am standing you can usually only see the front half of my front fender and when sitting you can see my entire bar setup. if I happen to look down while standing youll notice brief moments of visual on the bars but not for long. Hope this helps I really appreciate you taking the time to check out so many vids. Like I said before I was kind of surprised when so many people started watching my vids. Literally 6 months ago if I posted a video I would get maybe 50 views in the first month. the video I posted on Sunday has almost 1,500 in like 2 days. Very cool so many people are watching and I dont get all that many thumbs downs either haha. grapes I had no idea. I love them and can eat those no problem before a race. gonna try that this Sunday in addition to the many other things ive been told to try
