I don’t necessarily think he should be penalised however as it’s all new and the rules are shaky at best, me personally save quitting after being downed to reset the round mid round is as unsportsmanlike as anything can get I’d never do it personally. Who knows what he was thinking in that moment tho likely he just thought that people are saving quitting for many reasons and thought it was no big deal.

@@kmochi- It very much is an exploit in regards to the race for 999. Abusing a feature of the game for an advantage you would otherwise not have is an exploit, especially during a competition. This is a new feature that Treyarch have implemented, so of course there will be flaws to be found with it, same as the boats on Terminus or the Dying Wish/Equivalent Exchange augment exploits.

Except Khf's pizza isn't made of plastic. It was never fake or cheated to begin with. He had a hiccup and Treyarch allows players to Save & Exit and remake part of the pizza because that is how they design the game. Treyarch is the absolute authority when it comes to what is officially cheating or not. Godmode, glitches, pile up, Treyarch has made it very clear those are not allow. Save & Exit? It's allowed.

Using a VALID save and quit is NOT cheating. Losing your zombie kills and round progression is a perfectly valid punishment for getting your perks back. It's a once per round do-over that EVERYONE has access to. Cheating deliberately using glitches or tools to give oneself an unfair advantage that nobody else can replicate. Extreme high-rounding on previous titles could be done solo over the course of multiple days because of the ability to pause for food, water, and sleep. Given that, if the people want to cry about save quitting all together, please keep in mind that a round 999 run would LITERALLY KILL YOU if you were to do it in one session due to sleep deprivation(200 hours is right at the upper limit of how long it will take a normal human brain before it just crashes, resulting in near immediate brain death). So, if you want to save your perks because you screwed up a round and just don't feel like going to the wonderfizz with your 2.5 billion extra points from previous rounds, then you can use the save quit because EVERYONE CAN DO IT AND IT DOESN'T DISCREDIT ANY PART OF THE ACHIEVEMENT. It's correcting a single mistake in a round where you've alread completely fried your brain. It would be one thing if save quitting were a payed for feature or if it were an activision employee using a feature only they have access to. I swear, ya'll pick the stupidest hills to die on in the COD community.

I could set my mom down on my pc who's only gaming experience is candy crush and she could get round 50 in cold war within a couple attempts. You are delusional to compare them. The only reason old waw is easy to progress rounds is bc there is 24 zombies a round so the round scaling is messed up. Bo3 is interesting. Most of the giga op gums aren't allowed in wr runs, you can choose to play without megas for a more traditional experience, and there's categories for it, the AATs make it significantly easier than other games, but that's compensated with the zombies being on steroids. I cannot comment on the set up process of bo6, but cw set up is as easy as turn power on, complete trials for ww, and sit in the corner with wunderfizz and crafting station till u get bored and close out of game (bc it's impossible to die) In bo3 you are over powered, especially on maps like Rev, but there is typically a long, and semi challenging set up process that requires u to be fundamentally good at zombies to even do. No beginner is doing the zetsubo set up, but if your good at the game, and know the steps it's not that bad, it just takes a bit of time. Not to mention custom maps, which can be brain dead easy, or extremely hard. There js a variety of challenge in bo3, if u want a easy game boot up ascension, or the daybreak custom map. If you want a harder more in depth experience boot up zet, origins, shadows, leviathan, ect Modern cod is a shell of what it was, and it's sad people like you defend it. No interesting crew, no interesting EEs, recycled boss spam, health cap, new wunderfizz, war zone armor mechanics, score streaks and salvage. It's so sad.

I think the following rules are very fair: Using a glitch puts you into a separate glitch run, abusing a game mechanic puts you into a glitch run. Whether it be god more, or whether it be infinite self revives, I’ll still be impressed at the time dedication but your in a glitch category. Using no glitches, you’re in the main run competition, saving and quitting at the start of a round is completely fine. The only time it is not fine is when you say are about to get cornered or you go down and do this to get your perks back. If for whatever reason your run ends due to Treyarch issues such as the ones showcased in the videos, you are allowed to use mods or console commands if possible to get you back to a same or worse position than previously left at. So no higher points, no higher rounds, no higher level packapunch etc.

I wanna speak on behalf of Kobe (KHF) as someone who’s been a friend to him for years cause the shit the Call of Duty community has put him through lately is horrible. Kobe is true to his word and takes cheating allegations seriously, he did not cheat. He lives in a part of Australia that is notoriously known for having bad internet and was at 300 ping so he saved and quit, he had multiple easy ways of staying alive there and over the 80+ hours he has faced far worse circumstances and lived. Nobody besides mystic, insomnia and him get to tell him what’s legal or not in this race. It was a harmless play no one thought of it at the time and it’s a harmless play now. Unethical? Maybe. But calling him a cheater and saying he should be disqualified from the race over that is not a fair take at all when he did something everyone had access to. He has been getting constant death threats in stream on top of getting non stop DDOSed, and his ISP had to send an engineering team to deal with it cause it’s that bad and he still doesn’t have his internet back so he’s still racing now off stream through Starbucks wifi at 0.40mbps download speed on a laptop. And once he finally gets his internet back and resumes stream, some losers will still accuse him of doing godmode off stream or something. 🤷‍♂️

Bo6 is a new zombies game with different mechanics then we're used to but saving a quitting is mechanic in this zombies game specifically. Getting upset that someone used said in game mechanic, just seems childish or like we're holding onto the past. Things evolve and change all the time, and i think we ought to just get used to the save and quit mechanic being used. At the end of the day if he gets to 999 he still has that accomplishment and whether we agree or disagree with how he got there, it doesnt really matter as it's already 200+ in game hours to get there AND him saving and quitting only adds more time to that. It would be a great feat regardless if he saves and quits or not. Rules are important, but we cant always base everything off how older games worked. My opinion is that if the game allows you to do something like "save and quit" and that effectively skips a vermin round, then It's legit. If it's an intended feature, it's not cheating, it's just a different game, different rules. Yes, I am aware of high round runs in older cods that are longer than 200 hours even, but the difference is that the game could be paused so you could have taken a break. On BO6 you only get 15 minutes. About the extra downs pre patch, like I said, it wasn't something that people were going out of their way to do, it's just that whenever you were saving and quitting, you were getting the augments reset. Nothing intentional was done to cause it, it was just how the game worked. What I find absolutely ridiculous is that people can actually crash, lag and lose hundreds of hours worth of games just because of "Connection Issues" in a freaking SOLO game. I think that has to be fixed or dealt with somehow because it is INSANE how I can't even play a solo game and the moment my connection goes out, a 1 second lag spike even, could lose me a huge high round game. P.S. If you want to see for yourself, I tweeted about this. I lost a game (At round 213) due to lag spiking for about 3-4 seconds. (It was going to be a 999 round attempt). So yes, Absolutely outrageous.

If you get the mutant glitch right after you loaded into your game I think theoretically you could alt + F4 / quit using taskmanger or close your app to crash your game and when you open the game again, you will get a temporary save file which you then can load into.

theres only 3 skills in osrs that takes more than 100hours you can getl ike 10 99s in 200 hours if you do the fastest methods for certain skills like cooking fletching woodcutting it takes you 63 hours to get 99 woodcutting if you 2 tick teaks for an examples

To me, skipping Vermin or Parasite rounds is 100% ok. They already start taking to long when you're at round 50, let alone at round 600, but save & quit cheesing when downing should definitely be counted as cheating. If we don't we might as well give everyone unlimited revives as downing wouldn't matter anymore. Do I think he would've died that exact round? Not necessarily, it's honestly not insane to come back from a down in this game, but it could definitely cause problems later on. Saying save & quit is cheating because it's not the run in one go is just plain stupidity. Saving and quitting is no different from leaving your game on all night and day until you can play, but without you absolutely destroying your PC/console and I genuinely think that the people complaining about this feature have never done actual high rounds.

Exploiting is considered cheating as well. You can't stay in corners where they can only get hit one way. There are alot of bugs glitches and exploits this is by definition cheating

It's exactly the same as people who used Altf4 to stop losing SR in ranked. The honourable thing to do would be to restart. Saving and quitting to skip certain rounds is understandable because EVERYONE can do it, so no one is an a disadvantage

Honestly, and maybe im being a killjoy, but none of these matches should be considered legit. All of them started on the previous patch, which means scorestreak spam until 256, and then more are usuing multiple QR augment glitch until that was patched too. No one can play like this now, so these games shouldnt count towards records bc theyre played on inaccessible versions of the game. Every game changing patch should kind of mean every wr attempt should have to be restarted

in my opinion, i think that anyone who hasn't started on the most recent patch shouldn't count, or anyone who has saved and quit to skip a round they didn't like, but at the end of the day, it's a video game, if you're getting so upset that you're unmodding people in your chat because they don't play the game the exact way you think they should, you need a therapist, something's just blatantly not right with you

I totally could see banning the save and quit strat (and am leaning towards agreeing to it). But there’s no way KHF is a cheater, he’s using an actual game mechanic and not a glitch or outside software. Cheesy? Yes. Cheating? Not really. I think he wouldn’t have downed, but with the leave feature he had NO chance of downing where at least doing it had some chance of downing, which is how zombies should work because otherwise it’s an idle game 😂

Being able to save and quit to avoid a run ending is dirty. While it’s not straight up cheating it definitely takes away from the significance of high rounds on bo6. Spamming mutant injection doesn’t help as well, even though I understand why people do it it’s just the lamest most boring gameplay. It’s not a matter of skill it’s a matter of who can waste the most time the fastest

people saying that using an intended game mechanic is cheating is downright wrong. When in a high stakes competition like this with no outright ruling on what is considered right or not, you use everything you can to your advantage _as long as it is not an obvious exploit that is not intended by the developers_. The developers intended for the players to be able to save and quit otherwise they wouldn't have added it into the game at all. Also the people saying "just do it all in 1 go lol" are so dumb because if it takes 200 hours to complete just round 999 it is literally impossible, like humanly impossible to beat it in 1 sitting. Going for round 999 alone is already almost 10 days straight of playing, and because you can't pause midmatch anymore it is a welcome substitute imo. genuinely though if round 999 is 200 hours on its own I genuinely don't think 1 single person will ever beat it. We might see teams beat it, like how we saw in the race for max level where multiple people played on 1 account, swapping every 5-6 hours for breaks. 200 hours straight is legit impossible for a human to do.
