EDIT: You're not pathetic! And playing the Sims doesn't mean you haven't grown up!!! I think it just shows a healthy way to nurture yourself and be playful, which is really beautiful and rare to be able to do as an adult in a fast paced late capitalist society like ours. many of us are learning how to let that happen, and i get mad when I hear us talk about ourselves the way society does (ie "grow up" "stop having fun" "adults don't play games") you're so brave using curved walls! also, fun fact, circles are one of the most space efficient ways to build for max sq ft for materials used. But they're pretty impractical, so hexagons and octagons are often used. There are also building designs I've seen using this kinda design philosophy to make little abodes for refugees. I've looked at these plans for inspiration to build an IRL tiny home. I am also taking this inspo for my game. Thanks LacyLena!

@@zoegranville7607 thank you so much! That’s a cool fact about buildings, I had no idea! And to make a tiny house irl sounds so fun, I would love to do that one day And, again, thank you. I fully agree with you, it’s so important to have hobbies in adulthood to not succumb to the pressure. I’ve always found it strange how some people think video games are only for kids when it’s such a great way to unwind. As I get older I find myself going back to some of my old hobbies I either lost interest in or shamed myself out of having. It’s really nice

I don't think I've ever seen someone build round apartments before that's genuinely so cool

I git into the sims pretty recently. A few years ago I came across some sims youtubers who did speed builds and it made me want to try it myself :) Also this build was such a good idea! It turned out so nicely!

I bought the sims 4 when Island Living came out. I was really disappointed by the mermaids once I started playing with them, but I fell in love with everything else. I started with a pirated version that had everything unlocked, and I've only just recently realized I can still play online on a legit version while still pirating any packs I don't own. I rarely play anymore, but when I do I almost exclusively build. I played minecraft only in creative mode too! I stopped playing around the 1.8 combat update. Just stopped being fun.

@@pepperam5694 cool! I haven’t played Minecraft in at least 7 years so I have no idea what that update is but I have seen that they’ve made a bunch of updates to the game. A lot of it seems cool from the few videos I’ve seen, it’s a shame if the devs have changed too much about it though Thanks for sharing 💜

For a while i wondered if the birthday surprise could be another login reward type of thing (in a way, more base game items that aren't new to the game lol) but theyve never mentioned that again and there was some negative feedback that they may have taken into account. So honestly i don't know what to expect but i am not expecting much lol And i got into the sims because when i was really young i saw my dad play ts1 and a few years later he got ts2 (i think he didn't like it as much) so mainly my sister and i played. My sister and i were always really excited with ts3 (my beloved :') and i got ts4 on the one time it was on sale for free (before it got to be free fr)

It's probably a good idea to not expect a lot from them lol. That's so cute! My brother and I were looking through some old family pictures one day and spotted The Sims 1 in the background of one of them, so we asked our dad if he still had the game somewhere because I really wanted to play it. Unfortunately the game was long gone though lol
