Hey, someone who has also looked into getting the Wise trait (I have a whole discussion on The Sims Forums on Self-discovery system). It also plays into self-discovery system by counting as one moment and not appearing once the sim has had 3 already. I wouldn't count it as a bonus trait, as there is an hard cap of 6 personality traits that you cannot go over even with cheats. Wise will count towards it too... Though good news is that, unlike with Horse Ranch, the new traits will affect the social compatability score (with Wise liking to sims who like Cerebral sims) and the other traits also have self-discovery moments (except Child of the Village).

You mean if your sim has already had 3 self-discovery traits, they cannot get the Wise trait upon aging up? That's kinda bad, all my adult sims get self-discovery traits often. If we want the Wise trait, should we just decline any self-discovery traits after getting 2?

@@eatingonlyapples21 That's right. Though trait replacements through self-discovery will also count towards the self-discovery moments, thus two traits and one replacement will also prevent it. So yeah, there's that layer of strategy. If you want to go for wise, decline any self-discovery moments until elderhood.

Not gonna lie, when i got this pack i immediately went into build mode and start to build my dream kos-kosan for 10 hours, made a sim to be the 'ibu juragan kosan' and proceed to play in live mode, only to find out the LOADING SCREEN that pops out whenever we visit different units. I hope maxis will fix this soon, this pack still feels like an experimental updates because of the different types of features and gameplay. And btw, thanks again abi buat video barunya! It has to have loading screens because the age sees it as a completely separate lot. Similar to if you were to go from your sims residence to the gym, it’s gonna have a loading screen. That’s just how the game is built

it unfortunately is not a fixable thing for them :/ sims 4 is hard coded to need loading screens between active lots.

It's good for us who can't upgrade our pcs everytime an expansion comes out. Loading into another lot means it clears the memory cache between going from one to another so it's a smoother game. 3 had an issue where it wouldn't clear the cache and would cause many crashes due to using up all your system memory! Nothing was worse than having your entire session lost because you ran out of system memory.

Are these chaos events limited to the residential rental lot type only? 2. Can you just turn off these random events from occurring? I was foolish and paid for this pack before I saw all of the negative feedback about it. Thanks, once the events started I was lost. The adopt a pet event was first and I got annoyed with all the npc’s on my lot and didn’t want to adopt a pet. Then a ghost was in my tenant apartment so I paid for the most expensive ghost catcher to get that removed. Then days later my tenant started protesting on my 4 star lot lol sad part is they are dating so I know his apartment was upgraded with all the perks, I decided to do inspections and after inspecting everything I promised a better living situation and it was over. Now it’s a 5 star but I turned the events off. Adoption day was enough to annoy me. Not really a fan of random sims walking into my backyard and using my stuff for free😂lol I need my coins!

There is one problem I've found with For Rent. It seems there's no way to change the main Lot name. When building my 4-unit building I started in Residential and changed Ro Kaya Rockside to Utopian Terraces. After finishing the build, I switched it to Residential Rental and linked up the unit rooms. It changed the Lot name back to Ro Kaya Rockside and I can only name the Units, not rename the Lot as a whole. This... needs fixed. I've tried to rename it in Build Mode, Manage Worlds, everything I could think of, and it just doesn't seem possible.

It's pretty faithful imo. The new stuff are relatable to us (especially the rental aspect), we got some Indonesian NPC names and premade household, tho I'm a bit disappointed with the lack of any new Indonesian dish and the small world with only 2 districts and 9 lots

People need to stop ragging on loading screens. They clear the PC Memory Cache! Sims 3 had a issue where it would crash once the Memory Cache filled up and it didn't matter the power of your PC it would eventually crash from it. Heck there are mods for 3 to clear the cache out! Sims 4 hasn't got this due to the loading screens clearing the Memory cache between each lot/neighbourhood area. It helps the game run without as many crashes. Yeah it's annoying but I'd rather than my save crashing without warning as there's no space to run the game

Even the sims 2 apartment life found a way to not go through a loading screen when visiting your apartment neighbors

Honestly any new sim player, do not buy the newer packs besides horse ranch and cottage living. The first older packs have more gameplay. It goes downhill after them.
