Great video, exactly what I wanted to see... I'm new at this with a John Deere 4010 and a Vermeer Super 60....

Watched the whole thing. My grandpa ran a Vermeer balers for decades. Bragged about them all the time.

Heck yeah!! Seat time in the 1086!! So you got your ac fixed I assume! Are the 1086's your biggest tractors? I guess with all the backing up to unload the bale, your shift linkage must be in good shape!! Thank you for bringing us along, look fwd to more!!
@paulcasefarms99333 жыл бұрын
Yes the ac is fixed and they are our big tractors. You should go back and watch my tractor tour video from over a year ago. I think you would really like it. No my shift linkage easily gets in 2 gears at the same time so I have to be real careful. Thanks for watching!

@@paulcasefarms9933 I am gonna do that for sure, esp seeing them upclose!! I may one day put some patch panels in the cab and try to fix the ac, sure would be nice!! I was wondering, I have to do the same thing, and it always seem to happen at the worst times!! I have learned...there is not enough room in that cab, for my big tail, that 150 pound seat mechanism, and enough patience in 90 degree heat to unlock the gears🤦🤦🤣🤣🤣 Thank you Mr Paul for taking time to answer all my silly questions, love learning and seeing all y'all do!!

This is the oldest of the 6 that we have as the rest have a patent number on a sticker on the front and this one says ''patent applied for';. You can see it at 8:08. It only has a 4 bar pick up where all the rest of them have a 5 bar. Thanks for watching!

Really appreciate the videos. Curious about the plumbing on that density cylinder. I have a 605F & it has a hose on each cylinder port that goes down into the tongue of the baler. Did you change yors or was it like that when you got it. If you did change it, did it help make a tighter bale??
@paulcasefarms9933 Жыл бұрын
It is just a lil less complicated and newer set up.. Works identical to the other except it is self contained.

Never used a manual tie baler...how do you determine how long to tie?
@paulcasefarms993310 ай бұрын
The baler has a flow control valve to slow the right to left movement. My valve was always plugging up so i just bump it across putting a wrap of string about every 4 inches. Counting to 4 or 5 between each move does the trick.

do you turn off the pto when ejecting a bale?
@paulcasefarms993311 ай бұрын
Yes. It will do it either way but it roughs up the bale a lil more if you leave it running.

I really liked ''Red Clover'' brand but it was discontinued a few years ago and tytan red and white 2 ball works real well and I bought the last 6 boxes of it that my local coop had or could even get. 110 ft/lb 20,000 ft per box. I guess I will have to get used to something else. The 2 color works well cause you can see it moving.Thanks for watching.

Mine usually runs 1500 psi when feeding hay into the baler.
