This is great! I am new to horses and have them in my yard. We have a track system and a run in barn for them. I want to work with my mare and build a solid foundation on her back and started planning for a round pen. I am so happy you shared this info becaaue I like to do things right the 1st time rather then having to go back and redo it. Thanks ❤

I'm 14 5'2" and I am building a 65' diameter round pen. My dad pretty much handed me a drill and a shovel and said get to work. So I will start building in April or May.

I absolutely loved your video! Great perspectives, rational and tips from beginning to end. Would you say a tilled and sand combinations would be the best for the soil content?

2:22 - you surely mean "diameter" instead of circumference. A 50 foot diameter round pen will have a circumference of about 157 feet. A roundpen with a 30 foot "circumference" would be less than 10 feet across. I imagine you know that but it might confuse some viewers.

SAP06... He said 60 foot round..

@@Donna-vh5ym Round yes, but not _around._ He definitely meant to say diameter, not circumference.

Can't agree more with a round pen of about 20m, especially if it's used for riding.
