This takes me back, amazing just how off the walls bonkers this show was. Holds up well.

Watching these for the first time since I was about 8. It's incredible how clever and naughtily subversive the show is. There's no way I would've caught even half of the jokes as a kid.

I watched this show devotedly as a kid. Rewatching it now, I'm amazed that they got away with saying "buggerlugs" on children's TV

can you remember the show about a school that was on after it, had a maggie thactcher character and all?

@@SMacCuUladh you mean Palace Hill? I do dimly, I was too young to get the social satire at the time so a lot of it washed over me until rereading about it decades later

I remember watching this show when I was very and I do enjoy watching the cartoon sketches which is hilarious. I do wished the whole series of Round The Bend is finally released onto complete DVD at last just like Thomas the Tank Engine Series.

I absolutely adored this show! Clarence The Crank Engine has always stuck in my head. A children's version of Monty Python, The Young Ones, Blackadder and Spitting Image all rolled into one. Funnily enough, I was playing the Spectrum game of this earlier today!

Heh. Complete with a very bored sounding Ringo narrating the story.

This show was way too well written for a kids programme

What? Apple a day keeps the doctor away especially if you throw it at him? I thought I made that up independently a year or so ago. Obviously it was jangling around in my subconscious knowledge
