What in the world is this production value?! There was absolutely no need to put so much effort into the mere aesthetic of the review but it elevates it so much and gives the whole thing an old-fashioned nostalgic feel that really works with the subject matter. Amazing presentation! A joy to watch.

21 years old, crying at 11pm over this video. Seriously, this was like catharsis. The way you presented the set gave the little child inside of me the experience he always wanted growing up. I came from a low-middle class family and they could never afford a set like this. I’d always go to the toy store my Mother worked at and would look up to the top shelf and see this and the 100 piece set and just imagine the wonders it contained within them, and every Christmas I’d circle them in the year books, hoping maybe this was the year Santa (or my parents) would bring me this gift. How my heart dropped around 2007-08 when focus clearly began to shift away to more gimmick sets and I was old enough to be aware of how corporate was changing. This put balm to a old wound I didn’t know still ached. Thank you for that. It’s like I finally got to see this in its entirety and fully soak it in. There’s a peace that came from that lol. I know, a bit of an over dramatic response to your video, but it was so well done I felt like I was experiencing it myself! 10/10, you’ve earned a new subscriber. Phenomenal editing, narrating, pacing, coverage, everything! Fantastic video!

This is a great review, and I really appreciate how you point out the set's flaws as well, as people often overlook them when reviewing them

Great video on an awesome set. I think the original “Engine Fever” layout from the 1996 yearbook is a slightly better variation of this set, but regardless the single circuit is a let down

I wish i had this set growing up. I always wanted culdee and never had d199, circus train or mail coach or bay cargo ship. The works shes imo os rbw best destination. I did have that but i wish i got it in a set that game with culdee

Very rare, however you can find most of the pieces. The Roundhouse, Bay Bridge, tunnel, and the engines are easy to find.

Amazing set when I was a kid. Still have the thing 20 years later. Amazingly poorly designed set as an adult, especially the double ascending thing in the front of it that only vaguely works and causes a derailment every time. And how the circus animals don't fit through basically anything on the set. And how the sidings leading to the works only sort of fit together. I didn't notice a bit of that and adored the thing as a kid. Ah, the adventures good old Culdee and Stepney and the gang got up to back then. Good times.
