Have the people in the area set up feeding stations to keep her in the area. You can sprinkle flour around the area to see what animals are eating from it. Eventually you could setup a trap and hopefully get her to go in. But someone would have to monitor the trap. She's in flight mode and doesn't really know you anymore. It can take weeks/months 😪

Toot is already planning her stage career. Fantastic! I hope her rehabilitation is going well. Lunchable is one talkative kitty. Tink looks like she needs a more chill dog with her than Auggie (who is adorable). Ivy's babies are little tweenagers now, and are so pretty! Those border collie puppies look like the best kind of trouble. And Squeaky has great prey kill instincts, which he used effectively against that catnip toy. I hope there is good news about Misty soon.

Said it before, saying it again, I would take Kiki and Squeaky in a heartbeat if I was local. After waiting for the right time, I've attempted adopting a bonded pair, non-kitten, and was REJECTED due to being in my 60s. 🙀🙀🙀🙀 She tried to push me to take seniors, which I would if I didn't already have multiple seniors. How short sighted is that? You don't feel good about me taking younger cats, due to my age, but it's fine to saddle me with more seniors? I love kittens, and know seniors need a home too, but one kitty here might stress out both kittens and seniors. For the seniors, it's enough to have to transition to a new place, but integration with existing cats could make it worse. Younger cats would be more resilient. What a poor decision this person makes. Two of the cats in their shelter would have hit the lottery! Only the best food and medical care, plus a nice big space to run and play!!!

Two weeks ago I adopted a stray cat who was being fed by my neighbour. Neighbour was evicted by his own brother who owned the house just over 3 months ago. Really nasty thing to do - all because my neighbour needed him to do a necessary repair. Stray cat started coming to me. Turned up holding his front leg up. We managed to entice him into the kitchen and quickly closed the door. He went straight to the vet, has been neutered, microchipped, his leg seen to - turned out he'd been bitten and now has a home with us. Vet thinks he's no more than 3 years old so little more than a kitten. Even here in the UK some of the rescues are too fussy yet they are always complaining they are overwhelmed. It doesn't make sense. I too am in my mid 60s. Maybe you can find another rescue in your area? Good luck and don't give up.

@@bgmccrea That is a ridiculous rule. I am 66 years old and I have three wonderful, happy and healthy cats. Before my mom passed away in 2016 she was in an assisted living facility. Two of the residents there had cats that lived in their units. Those cats gave so much companionship and comfort to those elderly people in their final years. For that shelter to refuse to adopt cats out to people in their sixties is denying those people a loving little companion and those cats a good and loving home.

Please tell everyone looking for her that if they see her, to NOT PERSUE her! It will drive her away and the goal is to allow her to find a safe spot to hang where she can be trapped. She should only be watched from a distance and report locations accordingly. With time and help from the community, I believe you will get her back but as with most cases with fearful dogs, it can take weeks.

I adopted a Border Collie from a family that got a Border Collie for their first dog. They were going to bring it to the pound because they said it was possessed by the devil. 😂 When I picked him up it just turned out to be a Border Collie puppy being a Border Collie puppy. 😂 He's just as happy as can be and a crazy boy, lol.

I bought the Kindle/e-book version of Murder in the Maple Woods. I'm about a quarter into it and can recommend it as well written with interesting characters and a plausible storyline. Hard to tell, but at 16:00 it appears that little black kitty is a black tiger - ghost stripes. I have at least one black kitty who clearly has these ghost stripes. Her sister (a tux) may also, but it's much harder to tell. Mystique, no question! I had to look it up when I discovered it wasn't my imagination - putting one picture up on my big monitor made it very clear! Basically ALL cats are tabbies, but for many the gene is "turned off", but some, like my Mystique, have some shadowy stripes that appear in the right light.

It still amazes me every week that Kiki and Squeaky are still there. Although, part of me is happy because I love seeing those two living their best office cat lives. It would be great to get an update on how they are. Are they still trying to lose weight? Are they all healthy now?

I hope someone fines Misty soon and that she is okay. Auggy is looking fabulous,he is one crazy puppy now that he is feeling better. So glad T-Bone doesn’t need surgery. Friday just keeps have issues poor baby. Toot is going to be so excited to find out she she can eat more than baby food. All of the kittens are getting so big. Im so sad for the black kitties. It’s crazy the way people think they are bad luck. I adopted a black kitty and he’s THE sweetest kitty I’ve ever had. He’s so affectionate and funny. I named him Teddy Graham after the cookies because he’s just yummy. We call him Teddy G. 🙂I also convinced my brother to adopt a black cat and we agree that black cats are special. 🖤

That is one reason I have avoided "fostering" - I'd end up on the front page as a hoarder!!! 🤣 I don't have to avoid the Petco displays - all our supplies are either delivered (can food and litter, even meds) or picked up through a local doggie day care who has a "food club" (they can get raw frozen food and fill in some of the can food when Chewy is OOS.) The final food is raw frozen rabbit I use to make cat food - there's a place in PA that sells ALL kinds of proteins (aka meat), which ships frozen and arrives in 2 days, well packed and still frozen. There are other places like that, but this one is the closest to where we live.

@@katelillo1932 then why did that lady say that she would adopt Kiki and squeaky if they weren't in Texas(maybe she can't travel or maybe she didn't know she can)? Maybe they could say something the next time on one of their videos or at the end of each video dog/cat "xyz" can be adopted anywhere in the US (you have to come get them no shipping) but these labled "abc" have to be adopted with in X miles due to continuing care that they will need (healing fracture, physical therapy etc.). Something like It's just a thought. I pray every time I watch the weekly videos that Kiki and Squeaky are in a home although I know that they get tons of love when they're there in the office. I have a special place in my heart for senior cats and BLACK CATS they r the best!!!!💜💜💜

There have had many adoptions from out of state. We do not ship animals. We set up meet and greets with potential adopted in order to make sure every pet gets placed in the perfect home. We have had many people travel to Texas to adopt their potential new best friend. Applying to adopt a pet is the first step. If approved, we can take the next step in the adoption process.
