Rousseau | Social Contract and General Will Theory Explained in 60 Seconds

Jean-Jacques Rousseau's view of the Social Contract is that people are generally born good, but corrupted by society. Summed up in his quote that 'man is born free, but is everywhere in chains." Rousseau believed that people should surrender their individual desires for what's best for the general will of society.
