@Lifereportage8 жыл бұрын
+Kevin Bonitto You only drive the buses you are told to. This particular route at that time only had Tridents. I don't work there anymore.

The extreme Team Abellio Do Have Gemini’s. They have on some occasions run on the 3, but rarely. The Gemini’s run on 343 and 172 quite a bit.

I've been a bus driver in Athens for 10 years. I applied for a job in Abellio and my application was accepted. I would like to know from you if it's worth to work in London and how are the conditions there. Thank you.

No, it's not worth it. The quality of your life will go down drastically and you will probably be very stressed. You will not have a social life anymore and if you have a family, the chances of divorce will be very high. The conditions are the worst in Europe. You can legally work for up to 80 hours per week and the company will take advantage of this. You will drive for 5 and half hours, then you will have a 20 minutes lunch break and then you'll go back driving. You will wake up everyday at a different time and shifts make no sense. You will make between £300 and £600 per week, but a lot of that will be lost in the high cost of living in London. Stay in Greece; the food is better, life is much more pleasant and you will live longer. Furthermore, here the weather is always bad and the English are always moody and upset, especially on the buses. You will be abused every day. Even the happiest driver loses his smile after the first hour in the morning. Love yourself, stay in Greece!

+Life Reportage I was almost ready to flight to London yesterday and today I would start my training. You're absolutely right about the high cost. Most of my salary would go to renting an apartment and that's the reason why I didn't go. Also is £300 - £600 per week the net salary? And is it possible to work only morning shifts? Thank you very much for your enlightening information.
@Lifereportage8 жыл бұрын
+DIMITRIS LASKARIDIS yes, that is after tax. You cannot choose your shifts. Part time drivers work for three/four days per week. Most duties are 10/12 hours long and once started, you must complete them. Also it's a very high risk job, you have an accident and they can send you home or to the job centre. Remember, you will not have a life anymore. If you are willing to trade your life for £4/500 per week, then this is the job for you. One very dangerous thing about this job, is that once you start, you will get used to the money and you will not find anything else to do that will pay you the same money, so you will get stuck. Be careful!

Maintain headway between buses either the bus behind him was going faster than usual so he had to slow down and wait to maintain the gap or he was faster than schedule so he had to slow down to maintain gap
