That's cool! My first car was a '74 Cutlass. I watch the people you named as well. Great Video.

Hi. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Glad you enjoyed the video. That's cool that your first car was a '74 Cutlass. Also cool you watch some of the same KZbinrs. I have another video just on the Tecopa Fund Raiser and meeting Wonderhussy, and several more on each state in my '74 Cutlass along Route 66. Have several more to edit and post on Vegas, Hoover Dam, Sedona, Grand Canyon. Been busy with the truck and doing major structural repairs on my house, so haven't edited those yet, but they're "Coming Soon". Go to my channel home and you'll see all the Cutlass and Route 66 videos. Hopefully I've earned your subscription. ;-)

Hi. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Glad you enjoyed it. Ya, if you're going to do Route 66, gotta do it in something old cool classic with style. I'll be doing other parts of it in some of my other old school cars. I'll be adding quite a few short videos on each travel segment and or majestic location such as Sedona and The Grand Canyon from the trip which will each get their own videos. Stay tuned...

Hi. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment Sara Jane. There was no way I was not going to come out there for that and meet you and the rest of the gang out there and help support the Volunteer Fire Department. It was an awesome event and trip of a lifetime. Definitely a fun adventure and look forward to doing it again in some of my other old vehicles. Gotta see Ross's Tecopa Mines and Soak in a Hot Spring along with supporting the Fire Dept. Peace

That was my first car in 1986. Same color, with a 350 rocket. Pretty sweet.

My first car in 1986 was a maroon 73' "S" model.

Hi. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I've had the car since 1982 and am the 2nd-ish owner. Bought it from a friend to date my late wife. Rebuilt the engine in 1997 for the 100th Anniversary of Oldsmobile and joined up with the Florida Olds Club Caravan on the way to Lansing Michigan for the week long celebration in August of 1997. It was the best car to make a 5,137 mile round trip on Route 66 and then all the way to Death Valley in. Rides so smooth, and just wants to go 80 mph. I can't imagine any modern car being as comfortable or fun for every mile. The car was anxiously waiting every morning chomping at the bit for more adventures!

A great first car and memory indeed! 73-77 were the best riding, most stylish, and somehow the most forgotten. They were so heavy and so many made that they were loved by the scrapper and got crushed for their high scrap value. Damn shame. Had mine since 1982 and suppose I always will.

Hi. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Yes, it was quite the trip all the way from Ga. Not a single glitch. It was nice to meet Sara Jane and the rest of the Scooby Gang out there. lol

Hi. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. If you've checked out the rest of my channel, I'm mostly a DIY/How To/ Fix it channel, so this is my first foray into travel/adventure video. There'll be at least six to twelve short videos coming for each "Chapter" or main event of the trip. Looks like you have a travel channel from your handle, so I'll check it out. Thanks again, and stay tuned for more.

LOVE a Cutty!! I had a '75 Supreme, blue on white. Although the cranberry on white actually makes more sense, I like my headlights more than yours, sorry.

Hi. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. My Grandfather had a 73, white with blue vinyl top and cloth interior. My headlights are actually the same as yours, I just didn't put the chrome bezels in as the fiberglass needs some reworking where the bezel fasteners anchor. Also have some other trim off the nose and grill as I need to touch up a spot on the nose. Was driving me crazy that I had all that trim off the front for 5K miles and everyone looking at it, but many folks didn't even know what it was, just that it was cool. I need to add the double pin stripe back across the roof and down the quarters and along the fenders and the doors. That really trims it out. Thanks again.

I know! Shame on me. The most important single instruction, and I blew it. lol. I'll be going back and doing more, like Chicago to Stroud where there's some old unmarked original alignments of 66, and Kingman to Santa Monica. I need a whole day for the Petrified Forest/Painted Desert. Only had time for a pic at the sign. Also didn't get to see Two Guns. I'll be adding more videos from this trip focused on each "Chapter" of the trip and or event. Perhaps you'll subscribe so you don't miss those. ;-) There'll be six to 12 more short videos coming soon. Thanks again for watching and taking the time to comment.
