For your non-southern California viewers, the Volcano House was once owned by Huell Howser. He donated the Volcano House to Chapman University. I have read various things over the years that Chapman was going to use it and then they ended up selling it. He, also, donated his video archives of California’s Gold and other shows to Chapman. The campus has a museum dedicated to Mr. Howser.

Yes, I heard Huell Howser loved unique architecture. He also had a 50’s style home in Palm Springs. Miss his shows.

I love the whole tour. All the museums, roadside attractions, kitschy places like Elmer's bottle ranch. So much fun. Thank you dear Jordan and Scott. I'm sad it's coming to an end, but it's been a dream trip that I've enjoyed so much. I would have loved to see Amboy Crater, but maybe there's a video on YT. Stay safe dears.

I'm sorry to hear that Elmer has passed on. He left a wonderful work of art behind. I'm also sad to hear that we are at the end of our trip tomorrow. I do have to say that I did learn something about Route 66. It may not be used anymore as a highway but some of the businesses on it are still alive and well. The people that run them seem to be kind, happy people. Thank you for taking us on this journey and showing us some of America. It's nice to know on the 4th of July that our country is still going strong. Take care and looking forward to our last adventure.

I'm going to be sad to see your journey come to an end. I've really enjoyed it! About 5 or so years ago I found a very large wall clock that said Route 66 on it. We were in the process of redecorating our family room and this clock became my inspiration. I then went online and purchased 6 pictures of places on Route 66 to hang along side the clock. You've visited all of the locations in the pictures including the Wigwam Motel. It's been fun to watch! 😁

Who knew that Needles had so much to see? For us it was a drive through to Grandma's in Bullhead City across the river. And the gas station was always good for a photo of its gas prices. Once it was almost $8 a gallon.

Love it! I love the bottle trees! I was lucky enough to get to meet Huell Howser. Around 2007 the Mission Tiki Drive-in had a special night showing old B movies and the Martini Kings band played there. Got to meet Huell Howser, it was a lot of fun ❤️

Those glass bottle trees were really cool. That McDonalds with the train cars reminds me of Universal Studios...we ate in a train car there they had a restaurant in an actual train car in the eighties...I wish I would have had more time at Universal Studios ...went there on the day I had to fly back home so only maybe half a day there instead of a full day.....Wondered what those wigwam motels were like...I pictured an actual wigwam and wondered how it would have a room set up. I was surprised to see a door inside and like a regular motel or hotel room inside...enjoying armchair traveling with you guys....
