Madrid looks like a cozy town to settle in on retirement age. In my opinion, nothing beats the iconic scenery along America's desert highways. That juicy and tasty 72 oz. steak at The Big Texan Steak Ranch looks like an invitation for a cardiac arrest! I don't care, though. I would rather pass away happy with a full belly than passing away from depression and an empty stomach. Hehehehe. See you guys on the next episode and safe rides always to all.🤘

My great grandpa was born in 1880 and died in 1946. I often wonder what it was like to watch a century end and another begin. The great changes. A world that became “ alien” to him. Like another planet. Then I realize…I was born in 1984 and I am LIVING that same change. The end of a century and way of life. It scares the hell out of me. Why did I share that here? I don’t really know. Perhaps it’s watching you go through places that are somewhat locked in time. Those places are such a treasure because everywhere else is unrecognizable. I need to get my ass on the road before it’s to late
@2LaneLife2 жыл бұрын
Definitely a trip to think about. Thanks for sharing, Johnny. There really is nothing like exploring these areas that have been locked in time. Being there feels real, without the nonsense going on everywhere else. A treasure is sure a good way to put it, and we hope many of these places will be preserved over time. See ya down the road

Another great ride is to Oatman, AZ. On the I-40 between Needles and Yucca, head north on 10 road. Donkeys roam the streets there. You can buy carrots and feed them. Clark Gable, Carol Lombard, and other famous actors and actresses often went to Oatman. Southwest of Kingman. Kind of an outlaw town, now a really cool ghost town.
