The rave thing was EDC - I remember many many moons ago being there when that was on, being up stupidly early due to jet lag, and watching all the girls with nothing on coming back into the hotel from their night out… so I know exactly what you’re talking about! Fab upgrade - would love to know what the pool’s like there, I’ve only ever stayed at Vdara in winter but the rooms are so nice. Congrats on the upgrade!!

Not into gambling or Casinos, but still loving your commentary, making us smile like it did on the Route 66 Trip. I think I’ve been in two Casinos which couldn’t be more contrasting. One in Milton Keynes and the very famous one in Monaco/Monte Carlo when on a business trip with my ex husband. We were ushered up to the top floor and told to watch but not speak, the very very rich were playing for enormous stakes, it was quite the eye opener ! Can we just say a ‘hello’ to that fabulous upgrade at the Hotel ! Enjoy

When I see Buffalo Bill's and Whiskey Pete's at the state line, I know Vegas is just about 20 mins away and I do a happy dance 💃 💃😁😁. Did you do a happy dance 🕺 🤭🤭? What a nice start to Vegasing, a room upgrade 👌 👏. Very nice room. Did you say "roachy motels?" Ewwww, lol. Hopefully you won't see any at Vdara 😉. Vegas looks as fab as I remember. I thoroughly recommend doing a tour of the Allegiant Stadium, it’s awesome. Some Raiders and Golden Knights gear is a must too! Enjoy!

Nothing better than a free upgrade. You deserved it after all those roadside motels. Great for one night but enjoyable to have space to spread out for a few days. Sorry the gambling wasn’t better but you sure do have fun and that’s the most important thing. I’m 32 days out for my next trip. Been 6 months. Looking at your slot selection for notes. Great road trip as usual. I found all the videos on this road trip leading up to Vegas strangely relaxing. That soon changed when you finally got to Vegas, but still fun. Really miss Vegas as I haven’t been able to go there for nearly 6 years now. That upgraded suite looked amazing. BTW, how much was the regular room per night before the upgrade?

Well, I’d say the panoramic corner suite at Vdara is a bit of an upgrade from some of the places you’ve been staying (plus we got that rare glimpse of Simon’s reflection). I guess it depends on your point of view. They all had their different kind of charm. I mean, Vdara’s nice and all, but it ain’t a wigwam. Maybe better than “The Cabin” in Needles. Maybe. You played quite an assortment of slots this first day. Even though you didn’t catch a big hit, it sounded like you were having a blast. Hoping your enthusiasm is rewarded with some big wins. There is one little issue I have with something you said at Buffalo Bill’s. My unsolicited advice? You do NOT need to grow up. Just keep laughing at the nonsense. Go get ‘em, Simon!
