Could not agree more. My first M rated game, purchased from Kmart many many years ago. Idk, it might just be nostalgia but I will live and die on the stance that this is a must play once in a life time game.

I don't think it was underrated, but definitely forgotten by the mainstream. I see a pattern of great, 3rd party (some 2nd party too, like Geist) games (usually published by Sierra or Eidos) that at the time get attention but then get pushed to the wayside by either the next generation or by the 1st party exclusives.

The characters facial animations are more expressive than some 2022 AAA games. I didn't remember being this good. The voice and face match so well something you rarely see nowadays since they're trying so hard to push the realistic aspect they lose the expression so hard.

The facial animations & body language in free-radical games is next level even by today’s standards (camerawork too). They had the right people at the right time. Cutscenes like these are why I usually prefer traditional animation techniques over mocap 8 times out of 10.

Such a great game. Brings back good memories when one of my friends showed this game to me. Very unique and underrated game. Sad it didn’t sell that well. It deserved more sequels.

easily one of the best video games ever made, TimeSplitters 2 will always be my absolute favorite, but TimeSplitters Future Perfect is RIGHT there next to it, ALMOST coming above TS2, but still just RIIIGHT on the side, SIDE by side haha, but for future perfect, the game, the writing, the characters, sound, music, levels, atmosphere, the gameplay, everything about it is perfect, there's a few nitpicks when it comes to the challenges and the arcade mode DEFINITELY alot of RNG; which is total bullshit heh; and that deserves it's title for that, but everything else about the game is phenomenal, the ending; everytime still brings me almost to tears at how fucking awesome and perfectly concluded it is, TimeSplitters will ALWAYS live on, and i will make DAMN sure of that with my own tributes and offerings too it; when the TIME comes that is ;) haha,
