Margie, I am so happy that you and your husband are pleased with the final product. It was worth all of our checking back and forth to see the smile on your face. It was also a great learning experience for me.

For your first attempt at sign making, you did a fantastic job Paul. I find that when I'm routing a sign, sometimes I have issues with the router plate dipping off the edge of where I've already routed and gouging a little too deep in the routing area. By adding that border around and spacing your letters the way you did, it looks like you have provided enough support for your router plate that you wouldn't have had that problem. Great work. You also look like you've slimmed down a little bit. Looking great sir. Thanks for posting this episode. I enjoyed it and by the look on your customers face, she really likes her sign.

Kenny, Thanks for the very kind words. I made the oversized base for the router out of 1/4" plexiglass so it would have a larger footprint and to keep the router more stable. It worked really well. Yes, everyone was quite pleased with the sign. I appreciate your comment and for watching.

Really nice job Paul, even if you abandoned your Hegner 😀😁. Where did you get the base for your router?
@paulsmessyworkshop4 жыл бұрын
Ron, I made the base for the router out of some 1/4" plexiglass. It worked really well for bridging the gaps while routing. Not to worry, I will be getting back to the Hegner...lol. Thanks for watching and for the comment.
