A carbide scraper would work better than a gouge because of the alternating grain in your bowl. BTW I have had projects explode on the lathe and it is very discouraging, so I am sorry to see a bad end to a promising project.

I am using half-inch wood on my first Dowelmax project, so your video has made set-up a breeze for me. Thanks, and you got a sub.

WOW that is a very expensive scroll saw. I have been watching a few of your scroll saw videos after seeing you change the tension rod on your SS.

Thank you so much for this AWESOME tutorial. I am in the UK and going to try and source this tension rod. Great idea. I have a lot of problems with my scroll saw tension !!

This is one of the best demonstrations of the Dowelmax that I have seen. I refer back to this video when I haven't used my Dowelmax in a while.

Hi Paul, what shellac and lacquer did you use? My brother is helping me fix the surface of my husbands board but used something that didn't leave it smooth. Thank you in advance. Carmen

Nice project Paul. The painting would have driven me absolutely crazy. I'm glad that you overcame the challenges of breaking pieces with the CNC and adjust your materials and methods to make a successful project. It looks incredible. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the shoutout Paul. I appreciate it. Once again, the lack of emails from KZbin made me miss seeing this video but I'm here now. Better late than never. I like your version of the sled and I have to admit that I was wondering about the double mitre bars but then I realized that this is your version of the sled and you have made it for a specific purpose and from what I can see, that sled will serve you well. That double mitre bar setup definitely provides a higher level of stability. Great work sir and an awesome video.

Nice review Paul. I really like the mini "drill" chuck and the ability to use it for blade entry holes is a bonus for anyone who cuts fretwork. I agree with you that it would be nice for the power and the speed adjustment to be on the same side. Even better would be for it to be in the same switch but as you said, it's a minor issue. Great review sir. Looks like a nice little tool.

I miss the days when KZbin would send out an email to notify subscribers of new video content. How has this video been here for a year and I haven't seen it? Nice overview of the tool Paul. Looks like it will serve you well. Heading to the review video now.

Not sure if you put the Allen screw in the adapter and tighten it down on your video. For those that have reverse, if that screw is not tight, it will unscrew itself. Please add that to your video for safety.
