I don't understood this question of direct proportion If 20 men can assemble 8 machines in a day ,how many men are needed to assemble 12 machines in a day?

Men= 20 I x Machines= 8 I 12 It is in direct proportion because if the men will increase then they can assemble more machines but if men will decrease then they they can assemble less machines X1/y1 = X2/y2 20/8 = x/12 20×12/8 = x 30 = x Hence 30 men can assemble 12 machine in a day.
