I have a BS type 30mA RCD I am testing. I understand about having to do both the positive and the +180° negative cycle but my megger gives me AC and DC test function. Which one should I use?

I notice that a 100mA RCD is used as a Main Switch, could I use 30mA RCD instead?

The board (and possibly the video) is done to the 16th Edition of BS7671. With the current 17th edition, as long as the CU is insulated (i.e. not metal clad) and all circuits are protected by normal 30ma RCD's (i.e. normal split board with 2 30ma RCD's), then there is no need to use a 3rd time delay RCD as the main switch on a TT system and one can use a normal isolator instead. So you will have 1 x isolator and 2 x 30ma RCD's

Which time should be recorded on the 0 and 180 degree at 1x and 5x, fast or slowest times

Always record the highest reading (slowest) regardless of the test you are performing

This video is nine years old and this guy has never replied to any of the comments or answered any of the questions, Totally unprofessional and a total lack of respect for his subscribers/ viewer’s Nota good look. It’s the same with all his videos.
