yeah, I just started port matching my gaskets very important much more power and I used a die grinder on the exhaust gasket. Mounted up in a vice works great.
@eastsiderc3 ай бұрын
Thats awesome Tom, that must of been a small die grinder, I tried my dremel but it wants to catch and skip. I razor knifed my first one lol. I hate gaskets in the way. For the rovan 45 engine base gasket its actually best not to match it due to a power loss, the way it moves air n fuel to the transfer ports the gasket actually creates pressure which helps the fuel charge!! A funny thing on that primitive piece

Always great info 👍🏼 just bought another ddt. Decided w/ sale could’t go wrong. Was $700 cheeper than the losi I ordered that won’t be here to July. Canceled that order. Figured w/ money saved I’ll go Taylor on one of the two DDT’s I’ve got now.

My bro you made a great choice! You can get a losi later! You will love the DDT with a Taylor!! Enjoy that thing! Take it all apart and get it tight n right bro! Im happy for you! Its always fun getting a new rig and coming up with new ideas to make it your own and powerful!!

I do like that pipe I cud see more power in the lower end and top end with more RPM good pipe not sure if I like having to taking off the side grid but is that a problem I don't know hope you have a blessed one see you on the next one crazy mike is out 😂👍

Hey Brother Mike you will only have to take off that part if you have and FT style baja. Its not really that big of deal. It sounds and runs so good you won't at all be bothered!! Olimat is awesome and Austrailian!!! Thanks for watching it brother Mike! The run I did at home it made power every where!!

That looks so fun. Nice rig. I have been having some terrible luck getting my 30 degree 38cc running so it brings me joy seeing that thing kill it.

Hey bro! This rig I got the suspension all set up just right and it is so much fun! It drifts so nice !! However with real power but not to much it is an absolute blast! It will drift that yard wide open hard and fast its so cool to see!! And brother whats wrong with your 38 man let me try n help!
@Js_junkyard3 ай бұрын
@@eastsiderc I can get it started when it’s cold, it warms up and revs just fine but it’s like it gets fully warmed up or hot and runs completely different. I just can’t tell if it’s rich or lean. Seems to always have some smoke from the exhaust. 50:1 castor 927. Sometimes the plugs look a little wet, sometimes they don’t. Ima try to get a video so you can watch. I broke 2 pull starts already.

I thinknthe side pipe was more of a linear power band where the rear pipe was punchy in the low end. I woupd put the rear pipe and dust cover back on but thats just my opinion.
@eastsiderc3 ай бұрын
Thanks for the input brother! Your observation is correct. The crap weather and new engine running in also didnt help the testing. But you could still get a clear picture. I like the side pipe for the top end in the yard and control in and out of the turns. The dumper pipe I just love the torque it provides. I also like the wheelies. I plan on putting the dumper back on bro. But the whole works is coming out and 71 going in!

@eastsiderc I see you were talking about the humidity that's an issue I have here in Malaysia. It's 30+ degrees Celsius and close to 100% humidity 365 my tune here is different from Australia but I don't tune as much here as the weather is constant.
@eastsiderc3 ай бұрын
@@kanenstuff aw man yeah its tough with that kind of humidity! Humidity poses a huge issue when you want to run cool and make some good power! Engines simply dont like much fuel when its humid , take away fuel take away power! Thats why I love 45~50 degrees with 30 percent humidity! I can make the best power then because I can really throw the fuel at the engines! I like to give them all they can take until they choke then back it off a bit to a crispy clean sound of brap! I cant stand a crackle !! Haha! Goodnight brother! 🤝🙏

Told u along time ago that top end pipe those pipes have no tork
@eastsiderc2 ай бұрын
I still had to try it and its a great option for this car! Keeps the front down! A lot of people dont like rear pipes even though they are better for torque but sacrificial on the top. I thought it was fun to run even in the crap air! It screamed way harder down the straights

Would you recommend this pipe for a zenoah 32? Oh and I need one your screw kits! I’ve emailed you for a pack 🙏🏼
@eastsiderc3 ай бұрын
Hey brother I would recommend the Taylor pipe for the 32, I have tested it many times. Its my favorite side pipe, will this work yes, but its not quite as snappy as the Taylor side pipe. And I will check my emails! I have plenty of screws and will gladly put you a kit together today! I have to make one for Pete too so I will put both of you guys kits together today.

Can you do a video about removing and installing the carb. When I take mine off I can never get it on and running right. I must be missing something...
@eastsiderc3 ай бұрын
Hmm are you using gaskets with pulse holes in the top and bottom? In the middle of the gasket is a tiny hole that must be lined up with the tiny hole in the intake or you will have issues. Same thing with the intake gasket. But generally there is one in the top and bottom so you can flip the gasket either way. Maybe you are getting the carb n V stack to tight or not tight enough causing an air leak. I can make a vid for you if I need to bro!

If it's no problem a video would be great. I have been dealing with this problem on 2 separate engines. No one near me does 1/5 scale rc so it's hard to get help... Thanks bro. Love the channel
