Joseph, it was a pleasure. I’m pretty keen to to catch up with the other Rovers I missed in period sadly. The 600 is a really brilliant design, to say it started as a Honda the link is unrecognisable and very original.

Oh that car is getting around Sir, a rare sight in V6 connoisseur specification. My grandfather owned a HHR 416 SLi Auto brand new back in the 90's (following on from a few SD3 and R8 models) As you have pointed out Rover had less influence with the HHR. Both rhe HHR and R3 looked much more modern than the outgoing R8 in period whilst retaining a certain charm unique to Rover.

The R8 was a really good car and I particularly remember a 416GSI I had for a short time. but the 600 was a masterclass in what could be done within a joint venture/shared platform, I do like that car!
