you're the only youtuber with a rovercnc. why is it so unpopular

Great videos mate, watched a lot of them. Be careful with extending the Z its the only axis which has leverage. extending it is not the best, as you'll enhance the twist in the gantry, specially how long that gantry is. If your considering changing the gantry, maybe two pieces with an offset space in the vertical, this will give you a considerable more anti-twist for weight value.

If you machine out a section as large as a T NUT , from the side of the extrusions ,to the level of the T NUT entry , at their ends you can insert the nuts without pulling apart the machine . ( if you forget to insert them )

Thanks, good video. Would the Workbee (80x40, 48 bearings) be strong and accurate enough to cut through 18mm plywood at a reasonable rate? Perhaps 6 passes?

I order the base kit but the 40x80 won't fit inside the 80x40. did you had to make any adjustments for it to fit ?

In the video I show a 40x20 being used front and rear. a 40x20 fits in the "C" part snugly. and helps to keep it all aligned. hope this helps

can the old existing plates (Gantry Plates) work with the 80x40 c section??
@TheBreadboardca8 жыл бұрын
+Taj Davis Yes they could but the new X ones came with the additional X plates to add rigidity and the extra wheel sets so they will last longer... and of course the new ones look way cooler

Hello, the new upgrade C-Channel your going to. I understand that it is 40x80mm. But it looks bigger than that in the video. 40x80mm = out to 1.5748 x 3.1496 inches. Could you help me out there. I want to order this product here in the US. But it just looks smaller and yours next to your hands looks much larger than 40x80mm = out to 1.5748 x 3.1496 inches Thanks.

I dont, at least not down to the last nut and Bolt. the plates were the most expensive single item and I bought those from EBay for a couple of hundred $$. Something like this www.ebay.com/itm/OX-CNC-Gantry-Plates-Z-plates-Spacers-5-hole-joiners-Seen-at-Openbuilds/252543216136?hash=item3accbfaa08:g:XbgAAOSwLnBX3JMB:rk:3:pf:0 everything else was cut so suit the 1500 x 1500 mm size. OpenBuilds community has a parts calculator I beleive that can help openbuilds.com/projectresources/oxcalculator-bill-of-material-and-cost-calculator.68/. Hope this helps out Regards Peter

What are you using for software? Is there a conversational software that does not first require a CAD program? Enjoying the channel, thanks for all the effort. Dennis L.

I recently built an extremely similar machine, just a bit smaller and cheaper. I also made a video series on my channel if you want to check it out.
