Of course, that is because Rover has a clearer identity. A legendary hero, the founder and true leader of highly advanced organization, the master of a divine being. They are calm, wise, act and look like matured people (of course because they're more than million years old). And who is the traveler? a homeless person that once can travel through worlds, yes and what else? nothing other than a kidnapping victim. No one said that they was once a powerful being nor they are meant to be the one of strongest of (not) their world. Even with combined might of the sibling with their original still lose against a single woman without a difficulty. They are not stronger than 99% of playable character. Sure they can have more than one element but their power is only not much different to ordinary vision user. They are childish (the way they act and look despite more than 500 years old), crybaby, sometimes dumb, and not calm. Yes traveler and paimon lacks information about their identity despite it's already 4 year since the game released. While Rover and Abby has a clearer identity despite not even a year. (Abby's identity is clearer than paimon because Shorekeeper said that Abby is already inside Rover since more than a million years).

Tbh, while Genshin MC is literally meme, HSR also has badass MC. Trailblazer very similar in many ways to the Rover. Kinda immortal (he was pierced by the ice lance like it's nothing), lost his memories and is awfully powerful when he gets pushed to the very edge. He's troll, but from the in-game lore, he's more like AHA follower. I'm playing WuWa, HI3rd and HSR. That's the best combo for me. HI dailies takes like 5mins + once a week Elysian realm that takes ~10mins. HSR dailies + weeklies takes literally nothing, as everything can be done at the auto battle, and Wuwa dailies + weeklies 30ish in total. While Honkai Impact is just more like honorable mention as I don't really top up there any more, Wuwa and HSR have all of my support. They deliver me epic story every ~45 days, then I make sure to get the character I started to like.

He’s also shippable with the dudes like Xiangli Yao and Jiyan too. He’s pretty much shippable with anyone which is pretty nice for whoever want to have their own head canons.

My theory would be that we needed to clean up the system's defense first(aka all those spawned simulated TD's) for him to be able to breach into the system, after all he is only a small fragment of the whole system, which leads me to believe his authority isn't the strongest within the core of it.

Did you forget ku key themselves are connected to tethys system, it can control their movement but shorekeeper also has some control over them, like the train scene when she open the portal to crash the other train

In a way, I understood since the traveler only won because of outside interference plus when it comes to the battle against Arlecchino especially in the cutscene where the traveler saw the crimson moon in the background, it almost feels like Arlecchino is still LEVELS ABOVE the traveler 😔 hope that one day, the traveler gets his shining moment and beats up one of the main villains without anyone's help (yae miko helping out the traveler against raiden shogun reference) 🙏
