She was very calm throughout the entire process. My friend has a Shih-Tzu mix. The only time he is calm is when he goes to the groomer. All the groomer does is show up at the gate with the cage. He very calmly walks to the gate, enter the cage and lay down. Go Figure

Eeeeeyyy I also did a shih tzu today with severely matted legs. One of the worst I've done in a minute. Had to #30 parts of it. She also had rear double dewclaws that were corkscrewing and I had to untangle them from the mats and a few other nails growing into her paw pads. Tis the season!

Thar poor little dog! She must have been in so much pain with those mats pushing and pulling on her skin. She must feel so much better! And those mats between her toes must have felt like hard sand or rocks! Ouch! Now she has an even, fresh hairdo to make a fresh start! She looks so beautiful, Mary Beth!❤🐶

There didn’t look to be much shampoo coming out of that hose thing to bath the puppy 🐶 and no conditioner was used, is that a normal thing for groomers where you come from….my little fur babies hated getting their faces, nails and ears clipped and cleaned when I had them, they’d move their head around just like this little one and I had to be quick if I was doing it myself in between going to the groomer. The vacuum doesn’t bother me much but I get that it does bother some people. Could you move it farther away? With a longer hose? Is there some type of insulation you could put on or over it? Honestly I love it and wish I had one to use at home when I cut my dog. ❤❤❤

Thanks for the explanation about the vacuum trimmer. I understand the logic of why you like it now you've explained. I can't abide how loud it is & feel sorry for dogs that have their eardrums assaulted by it. I mute the videos as it hurts my ears.

Why did you shave the whole body so short when only the back legs were matted?

Because it's a free groom and considering how neglected this dog is, it's better to do a shave down so that the groom lasts longer.

And also, this dog was matted when it came in, so to keep it from happening to this baby faster by doing a "cute" hair cut, you have the cut them short because unfortunately some people don't always keep up with it the way they are suppose to. I'm not shaming anyone because I dont know their currently situation, im just stating a fact! I think you do a great job!!! ❤

Why do you go straight in on a 15? Why not try a 7f or a 10 blade first, then use a 15 if matting is really bad.
