I've been wondering about this but never understood: why is there always a pause between when the skater lands the trick and when the guys start cheering and screaming? Is it so the noise of their reactions isn't in the clips for the movie and they have silence for the movie? I never understood because they do it in all raw files for movies. dont get it?

It's so it doesn't mess up the audio for the edited video later. Imagine trying to enjoy a video (especially in a theater ) and there's screaming yelling clapping whistling and shit blaring over the music and the audio of the skating. It would suck. That's why I love night filming it's quiet outside and people are at home makes getting shit done easier!

I really doubt they're thinking about the editing process especially other skaters. Besides, ppl are already screaming & clapping during video premiers. My guess is they wait to make sure it's a make. Idk how many times I've seen ppl go ape shit over a trick only for the person skating to bail right after due to wheel bite or a rock.

chiefmachine24 Trust me I'm a filmed we let peoples know "were filming here respect that and hold off on the noise. It costs time and money to get clips you can't have people messing up the shot . I've made people go away from my shoots because they're loud and talkative.

How are you going to tell everyone to hold off on the hype at a skate sesh? That's just dumb. I've been working in video production & media for years now & have absolutely no problem telling someone to stfu, but when it comes to me filming skaters I never try to stage anything. Especially the energy
