HOW TO: SST RETEACH TEACH IN (Trying to fix my EVO X SST GEARBOX)

In today's video I attempt everything I can possibly do to try and diagnose and fix my gearbox fault. I attempt to read my SST DTC through EvoScan, I use PassThruCan to flash firmware and attempt a reteach / relearn. Am I successful? Watch to find out...

Hey man. Long time but I’m trying to find the video where you pulled a 7.5 fuse to re set one of the sensor warning lights (gearbox service required- it’s absolutely not required) but it’s doing my fkn nut in 😅 (Disconnect battery did not work)

Most helpful videos about the Lancer. I got my Ralliart in really great maintained condition, and hopefully, the dual-clutch is not going to be problematic, especially because the last owner had 3 transmission oil changes in 80k. Basically, they also changed the oil every 7000 km. I changed all the fluids, and there was zero metal on the magnetic drain plug. It looked really good.

I’ve had my 2008 MR since day one. I was relieved to watch this video on how the software was used and fix your SST issues. I would be interested in getting this software and doing a re-teach myself. Currently, only issue I have on my SST is occasionaly when I start the car, the transmission will go into some gear and grind. Doesn’t sound good. I would love to fix this issue. I have 138,000 miles.

I had to flash the American software, do the reteach then flash back the UK firmware. Although you'd think this flashing of firmware would reset the reteach the values are kept

I have a problem when my car is in automatic and sometimes when I stop and try to go it just revs and not move and the transmission service required pops up, Do you think its worth doing a reteach for this issue or would it be unrelated?

Great video man! I’m having a “transmission service required” pop up on my dashboard I’m not having issues with gears not working but I am getting a “transmission overheat” message when going about 150-km/h any ideas???

Randy Vee try cleaning your sst cooler if it doesn’t improve a reteach and oil change is always recommended. If that doesn’t work then unfortunately it’s a gearbox our job

hey man, i’m looking for some advice/answers regarding my 2008 SST. i’m having some transmission problems specifically when building boost and letting off throttle abruptly which results with the dash lighting up with “SERVICE TRANSMISSION” and “SERVICE ASC” followed by the engine light as well as traction control being disabled until i turn off the car, all lights go off except engine light once i start the car again but the code usually lasts a day or two. had one time where this happened and clutch slipped HARD AND I MEAN HARD through every gear, problem solved with turning off the car and back on again. i’m looking for any solution you might think of because i figure you know a lot more about the SST than i do, anything helps. i really don’t want to have to get it fully rebuilt $$$ and would rather replace the clutch, but if i have to rebuild it, i have to. thank you very much

Hi I got a question, after reteaching my sst when switch to drive gear mode my car would stall and after switching it to drive gear the rpm goes down if I dont put some acceleration, just like what happened to yours at the end of the video, I got a 2011 lancer ralliart.

I've got the same warning on my dashboard but I don't have the same problem as what you have. As far as I can tell it drives just fine and selects gears P R N D as it should. But that annoying warning pings up all the time.... would a reteach fix my worries?

Where did you get the sequence from? I believe it's slighty different from the one in PassThruCAN.pdf instructions

Im sure it wont make it worse, incorrect firmware version can cause that issue too

Hi there I’ve got an issue that maybe a reteach can fix? After a reflash I’m getting p181f clutch pressure too high after the car runs for a half hour. It then goes into limp mode. Any ideas?

Sounds like you have got incorrect firmware installed. Mine did the same after updating the firmware. Check out my sst flashing video for more info
