Hi Katie. I am originally from Turkiye but I watch you from Austin, TX. I got inspiration on motivation, shopping guides, prepping meals ahead. I learned a lot about the good brands to buy. Abd now I know not everything in stores are good. Labes about nutrition abd ingredients are very important. I have also lived in England for about 4 years. But shopping bulk was not common there. Buying in bulk saves a lot especially if we buy organic. You are doing great. Hope you the best.

God's been good to us inspite of some reaping my husband has had to live through the past 8yrs and every situation and impossibilty life has sent our way has only grown us! I have no complaints! God means it all for good... He is good and so so seeet to us! We love to travel and we love to make memories through being at home as a family, going on picnics, walks, playing games, and being with church people as often as it's possible. I am a professional photographer and stay at home Momma♡ Love love cooking and baking and we love all things sourdough! 😋 🤍 Our dream is to have a homestead and be self efficient as much as possible one day!

Have you heard of stomachs migraines? Someone recently mentioned this condition. When I get the pain I’m doubled over and my abdomen seizes up- I cannot stand and it lasts 20-45 minutes. Then I have general stomach intestinal pain inflammation. It’s scary when it happens. I can only associate it with processed foods or maybe long term effects of Covid. It’s new to me in the past year.

@@RowesRising yes! My exact symptoms! Plus bounding heart rate! First time I went to the ER. Finally figured it out when it happened again after eating pasta. I have Alpha-gal Syndrome, so I understand food allergies and how tough it can be! I am deathly allergic to all red meats, pork (all mammals), dairy products (milks, butter, cheese etc) gelatin, magnesium searate (found in alot of medications), and collagan (mammal based)... it just happened this past year, from a tick bite, so i am newer to food allergies of this nature. Thankfully my Mom taught us five kids to cook from scratch and we always had a garden growing up! My mom canned and put up lots of food. It's all coming in handy now that i have to be so sure of what i am eating and what in my foods I fix for us because alll/most processed food is not a option anymore. I have a very easy to cook for husband, so all this change as been doable because of that. I'm blessed!!♡ Alpha-gal is a carbohydrate found in all mammals and our bodies do not produce it, so when it enters our bloodstream we react to it. For around 6 months I had off and on anaphylactic reactions, I would choke and my throat and mouth would swell up... I did not know what was going on, so I kept dealing with it with just Benadryl, until I had to go to urgent care and they told me just how serious it was and that I could die so quickly! It got me being more serious about it and so I got tk an allergist and he did blood work and found the issue. I carry Epi-pens with me. I can't cook mammal either because it causes a reaction, from the fumes.

@RowesRising2 жыл бұрын
Hmmm good question!! We have some elk mince to use…. I’m not sure yet. Do you have any suggestions?
@MrRKWRIGHT2 жыл бұрын
@@RowesRising From what I understand, Elk should be cooked to no more than 130-140 degrees Fahrenheit of internal temperature. At 150 degrees the meat starts to dry out because of its lack of fat. The use of a meat thermometer is the best way to determine when the meat's reached the desired degree of doneness. Let me know how it turns out. Did you have this imported? Thanks.
@RowesRising2 жыл бұрын
We hunt elk here-it’s our personal supply. I’m stumped on what to cook with it, just out of ideas for minced meat.
@MrRKWRIGHT2 жыл бұрын
@@RowesRising Once thing's for certain. Whatever you decide on, I'm sure it's going to be delicious. One good thing about Elk is that it only has a fifth the fat of regular beef, and what's more, its meat is richer in healthy Omega 3, CLA and other "good fats" that aid in weight loss, improved muscle mass and cardiovascular health. That being said, Bon apeitit and y'all have wonderful Sunday. 😉😉

@pamelabagwell41902 жыл бұрын
Bees fly up to a 2 mile radius from their hive. Also, pesticide strips are routinely used in hives to prevent varroa mites from killing the bees. So an organic honey would obviously not use pesticides. There are natural alternatives to use!
